Hi, I'm a photography hobbyist and would like to ask you guys who have shot so many wonderful photos whether or not it is adviseable to do a prior survey/mock-up/test shot of the chosen location the day before you do the actual photo shooting of your models? What are the things I should be paying special attention to?

ie.

lightsource? cast shadows? white balance? others?

As I'm just a hobbyist, I normally take photo shots just as i like without much thought, and because of that, I found that my photography skills havent improve that much either. hmmmm.. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks notworthy.gif
