I've just upgraded to the 4mb package today (from 1mb package)

According to the Tmnet checklist:

my SNR checking is 24 and Attentunation is 7

I'm using a Linksys WRT310 router and a Linksys AM300 dsl modem.

The green lights that's visible are: power, ethernet and DSL. The internet should light up green but it no longer does that now but yet I'm still able to surf online atm.

Is this normal? How long does it take for the upgrade to take effect?

My connected IP atm is: 60.51.105.174
If this is not the right IP for 4mb users then what kind of IP should I be on?

I'm in the TTDI area. Appreciate any input and help on this.

If you can go online without showing the green light on your modem, the only explanation is that your modem is set up as a bridge mode and so that it only acts as a bridge between DSL(WAN) and Ethenet(LAN),the connnection is actually made by either your router or your computer(setting up a dial-up).If none of above is indicated,I think that should some faulty on your modem.

You are so lucky to get your upgrade so easy as you are living in TTDI where TM has upgraded most lines to fibre optics into DSLAMs.Thus, you could get such a low line attenuation and high SNR margin, aka. a perfect line condition.

Well, my internet connection is quite erratic right now. The green internet light sometimes appears when I restart the modem and sometimes don't appear at all. And when it does appear, it cannot connect to the streamyx server and when it does connect, it takes a very long time.

Usually how long is the lead time before the upgrade is successful? Does anyone have any idea? And is what I'm experiencing now normal (as part of the upgrade process)?

Well, I just called the installer and he said he's coming over again tomorrow

This is the speed I'm getting now and it's frigging sad.

Hopefully they will get their act together and fix things in the next day or 2.

Well, I'm finally on the "premium" ip. Too bad it's the 218.111.xxx.xxx and not 208 ip.

Speed is generally above average but today's connection seems to be somewhat inconsistent - I wonder if it has anything to do with the Earthquake?
