Hi Andrew, so based on your speedtest.net results, can I assume that if u were to download using rapidshare (be it free or premium user), your speeds are gonna be terrible too? I thought 4Mb users are supposed to be placed in a "premium IP" range...

I was gonna download your Word document test results yesterday but that file alone requires about 15 mins to download so I pretty much gave up.

Guys, I was told that if I upgrade my line to the 4Mb RM 160 combo, there's a 5 day downtime.. How long did yours take?

I went ahead and process my 4Mb combo upgrade package to today. Was told that there's gonna be a 5 day downtime. I really hope that's not gonna be the case.

^ A question, when u call 1300889515 and state that you're a 4mb user, you're automatically passed on to Premium CS? I've just upgraded to 4Mb but have not called them since..

My line was capped about 2 weeks ago but have since been released. The odd thing is, my rapidshare downloads seems to hover around 80 KB/s (with about 3 simultaneous downloads) but after around 2am, it goes full speed. I wonder if they're throttling rapidshare alone. There's a FTTH box right outside my house too.. LOL! Makes me wonder how much they're gonna charge for it.

Oh, has anyone that has been capped, released and capped again? :-)

^ Yeah, I'm getting the same issues as well. To be honest, when it comes to browsing, there's absolutely no difference between a 1Mb and 4Mb line. Its only apparent when u download stuffs...and that's when TMNET wants to do capping. Makes absolutely no sense at all. Who subscribes to a 4Mb line for surfing and emails? (I know one..my boss. LOL!)

Speedtest.net gives me good results but rapidshare and browsing say otherwise. I'm getting less than 70 KB/s for my rapidshares. Now I wonder why I upgraded my account to a 4Mb one.

Its always a lose-lose situation in this boleh land of ours.

for the past 4 days,

speed capped at 1mb: 11am - 1am = 14 hours

back normal 4mb: 1am - 11am = 10 hours

^ Would u believe if I told u its exactly the same? Yep, sad but true. If your 1Mb line has problems streaming youtube, so will the 4Mb one. If your intention to upgrade to 4Mb is to stream youtube, I suggest u save your money for something else.
