as far i concern there is no speed capping at 5mb...only tis avaiable...384kbs,512kbs,1mb,1.5mb(adsl),2mb and 4mb...if its shows 5120kbps in ur modem means,that is speed the NOC people configure for that card which inside the dslam.

Another thing if line is fibre then its great for ur 4mb pack...but if copper means then its must go thru remote dslam not the dslam frm exchange...

Hi there..pls check with the installer who did the upgrade for you.he suppose to do the un-capping with the Anoc People at NOC.
