I feel 218 IP's can compete with Jaring now, in term of Latency..

Now I can see 100ms to JP
230ms to LA
280ms to Chicago
Last time TM always extra 100ms higher compare v Jaring. Now they are all same.

how long does it usually take for the 4Mbps to be activated? TM point said 1 week. but it's been 2 weeks plus and i don't seem to be getting the premium IP. i think i'm going to call tm.nuts on monday to check if i'm already on 4Mbps package or not.

streamyx is 4Mbps = 4 Megabit/sec. it is not 4 Megabytes/sec.

the download that is shown in the screenshot is 437KiloBytes/sec.

1 bit = 8 bytes.

so take 4096kilobits/8 = 512KiloBytes is the fastest speed taht you can get.

so getting 437 out of 512 is good already. you don't expect to be getting constant 512KB all the way.

I think sometimes TMNet does seem to over-cap the bandwidth. For example, I'm on a 1 Mbps plan (and thus theoretical speed = 128 KB/s), but I often get sustained speeds of over 170 KB/s. My speedtest.net result does also show that my download speed averages to around 1.5 Mbps.

finally solve my high ping/latency and slow connection problem ^^
The tm technician call me to cask me change the DSL modulation to G.DMT will get stable connection and lower latency compare with multimode/ADSL2/ADSL2+/ADSL2+M
if anyone having high ping and slow connection problem can try to change it for getting stable and lower latency ^^

i am using the linksys wag200g
I automatic get ADSL2+ before changing to G.dmt
I already complain many time because the slow connection and high latency.
The tm technician this morning just call me and asking me about my modem brand and some setting in modem include the modulation~~~
after that he asking me to change ADSL2+ to G.dmt mode because the ADSL2/ADSL2+ is still not stable been used for some area and he say G.dmt can support line speed maximum to 8mbps and tm currently still most using g.dmt modulation so change it to G.dmt sure will no problem and the speed will be more stable and latency should be low. SNR also will improve ^^
