From Kajang...specifically near Tesco area.

Applied for upgrade through Farez ( 013-3942949 ) and until to date there's still no visit from the installer. Noticed through my router that my line has been upgraded when i wanna check the difficulty of getting online via my older id (probably due to Linksys router support only ADSL2 instead of ADSL2+). Gave the installer a call and was informed that currently there are having technical problems in regards to uploading. Downloading is OK.

I got the 6-digit pin by calling 1-300. They didn't send to me too as promised, then 1 week later, I called in to ask again, then only they gave me the pin.

About the disconnection, I think they misconfigured or having bad port. After many complaints, then all ok now for 2+ weeks without disconnection even with extreme low snr (5 db), I can't even believe it. Maybe they switched my port to good stable one.

I had experienced this before on my 1 mb line, knowing a technic supervisor handling my area, after complaining too much on 1-300, gave me his H/P, then he said "I will switch your port to 1 of the best", then for 2 years no problem. But now, this 4mb is different department, so he can't help anymore.

You're lucky. Seems at the moment the helpdesk was instructed not to give the pin.

I'm using Vista. Been pulling hairs a few days, smacking angrily at TMNet helpdesk when all of a sudden my connection will only pull a mere 10KB/s for downloading. They even have the guts of telling me to have a look at my computer. Oddly enough, i could get a reliable connection through Gamespot ( they do provide high bandwith for subscriber ) and apple quicktime movies.

For this couple of days i've been installing/reinstalling my copy of Vista on my PC, trying to gauge what may be the culprit. And it seems that it all start after i installed the latest version of quicktime 7.2.
