Hmm, I'm in Ipoh with ADSL2+, Can't wait to subscribe to this package. DSLAM is just a walk of 2 minutes.
But sad its not in the coverage areas. This post has been edited by archonixm: May 17 2007, 04:57 PM |

QUOTE(alextee1881 @ May 17 2007, 09:46 PM) U should listen, 4mbps is only for the lucky one, look at ur SNR first, if its under 20 dun bother to subscribe. 4mb is only for those under 2km from the exchange. 4km is like the maximum and at the brink of disconnection. Abit problem then u will dc often. |

QUOTE(Ash @ Jun 4 2007, 12:29 AM) My opinion, u can, since u already at 3mb. 4mb is just add abit attenuation and decrease 5-10 SNR. U count urself.Added on June 4, 2007, 4:00 am QUOTE(intothefantasy @ Jun 3 2007, 01:28 PM) hmmm my zte modem pw is and username is not adsl and expert03...btw i using ZXDSL as password and username for default...i have reseted my modem....both need to be all capital letters Urs already that suck at 1.5mb, dun bother 4mb...disconnections always i expect.ok heres my stats....can i apply for the 4mb? QUOTE(Ash @ Jun 4 2007, 04:01 AM) even though mine is detected as 3mb but my download speed is only up to 180kb/sec maximum. does it say something? That is because ur account is capped. Of course if you want to point out that your SNR is not excellent and may caused low download rates, if you want me to rate it from 1 to 5, I give your line condition of 3. Its not that great but its not that bad either. Even if your account cap at 4mb, I give 80% that it won't reach 500kB/s. 450kB/s is possible. This is just from my opinion only. Don't come and blame me if your line can't even sync at 4mb. |

From CRM slide i read last week from my friend who were attending tmnet training.
SNR margin is the difference between ur actual SNR and the requirement to maintain the ADSL line, Actual SNR = 40. To maintain a 4096kbps require = 38 Ur SNR will be = 2 But the actual Noise Ratio usually fluctuate, hence once the Actual Noise drop below 40 , ur line will be force to resync. Average attenuation per/km is 13.6dB. IIRC. And deduct 5SNR per 500kbits. Let say currently u r connected with 1024kb/s with 20 SNR. So u have like 1500kbits more if u consider upgrading. More then that = blinking Maybe i'll post here the slide after Raya. Or somebody from VADS here care to? This post has been edited by archonixm: Sep 19 2009, 06:08 AM |

QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Nov 8 2009, 07:43 PM) He means the modem capped at 2048, when you open the modem configuration page, the modem will show 2048 instead of 1024. It synced at 2048. It means the modem synced at 2048 rate to the DSLAM. Even though the account is only 1024, it will act as 2048, the only thing is the maximum throughput won't exceed 1500 because maximum speed for 1mb account is 1.5mb(account cap). |
