this is mine
the attenuation is around 40 so i guess mine is not good enough for the 4mb package? btw it says that my line is 3mb/512 but the maximum http download speed i can get is only around 180kb/sec edit: ah wtf after i changed the modulation to glite the margin has changed to 24 Us and 15 Ds. hmmm my zte modem pw is and username is not adsl and expert03...btw i using ZXDSL as password and username for default...i have reseted my modem....both need to be all capital letters

shi*.. i have the feeling they are killing all the other broadband packages like 66,77 and 88 via throttling and all that crap so that we will subscribe to the 4mb streamyx.. crap! stupid monopoly..

For modem status like below:

high downloads and slow upload speed is common la dude..
starhub in singapore offers 6Mbps but upload only 256 kbps.. 512 considered quite high liao lo |

Of course if you want to point out that your SNR is not excellent and may caused low download rates, if you want me to rate it from 1 to 5, I give your line condition of 3. Its not that great but its not that bad either. Even if your account cap at 4mb, I give 80% that it won't reach 500kB/s. 450kB/s is possible. This is just from my opinion only. Don't come and blame me if your line can't even sync at 4mb. |
