It is a plain stock snapdragon camera, for sure it sucks. I am actually hoping that they will update it with their Pixelmaster camera instead.

I think i saw some other brands also already reduce their price today. Mi A1 32gb now Rm599 and Meizu M6s can get as low as Rm469 from shopee.

Mi a1 was Rm699.
Meizu m6s also Rm699 but from 1 to 8/6 meizu drops it to Rm509 for ramadan sale.

Ov13855 is the same sensor on front camera of RN5. Also the same sensor on some unlucky Redmi Note 4 (previously it has many issue with gcam lol).

This phone actually was affected by camera blur issue after June update last year, and asus dont even bother to fix it until early this year. Or maybe she was among the lucky owner to escape that issue? 🤔

To be honest, i dont even want to rely too much on updates anymore, unless it is android OS upgrade. That one also need some time to sort out all the issues. Nowadays update tends to break things instead of fixing things lol.


Btw i wonder why Asus didn't mention anything about treble support. Is it because it is on stock android?

Both sucks actually. Omnivision OV13855 is slightly below average 13mp sensor and snapdragon camera is just a plain stock camera without brand specification. Asus being lazy here. I'll appreciate if Asus can come up with Pixelmaster camera or something, just like how xiaomi comes up with stock android Mi A1 but with their own camera app.

This phone is not under android one program btw. It might be as slow as other Asus phones.
