For those who are going to buy Onyx with blue switches, I'm offering for a swap deal. You buy the one with brown switches and we'll swap keys. I'll pay of course.

The one in ILLEGEAR insta story is Cap 3, not the Cap 2 we use in ONYX.

Haha, I prefer the no logo/sticker on the bottom bezel of the screen, helps to make the screen more immersive to me

Err unfortunately I already skinned mine DIY lol. Translucent CF skin, so I can still enjoice the Illegear logo at the back. But yeah, the option for skins out of the factory would be pretty nice TBH.

And if Illegear is afraid of it add to the workload of its staff, just sell for user installation lor?

Lol no videos as I didn't do it that well lol and got a few bubbles edi. It's not that hard TBH. Just buy enough vinyl skin, measure and cut lor. Then apply heat (hairdryer on low) to smooth out the edges.

But yeah, using normal opaque skins are immeasurably easier then doing transparent / translucent skins as you don't have to worry about any bubbles appearing.

As for factories making precut skins, hmm, I'm not sure. I can ask around but no promises as notebook skinning isn't as profitable as mobile phone skinning these days (plus our units are pretty niche unfortunately), so it's normally a hard sell for companies.

You can also try asking MojoSkin OU and Mobile Outfitters if they'd do the thing, but be warned that it won't be cheap if you go this route.

Cap 3 won't be coming to ONYX anytime soon, the Cap 3 shown in our insta story is only a prototype, but the brown switch + Cap 2 is already ready for pre-ordering, we should receive the keyboard next week.

For this, I have to ask whether we can buy the Cap 2 keycap only, i am also afraid of the compatibility of the mechanism with Cap 2, need to check with R&D about this.

Once we received the keyboard upgrade kit, our team will determine whether it's easy for user self-installation. If not, you guys have to send in for installation, sorry about that. ^^"
