yes my father in law washed my car. he borrowed the car for few days and he wash it before return to me. but from where the sound came from?
*
No big deal. Sound comes from brake disc or brake drum when it is wet. Drive abit more and use the brakes more often the sound will go away after it's dried up.

but why before this never occur? as long as nothing serious happen, im ok with it
*
Maybe he directly spray the brakes?
Just monitor few more days and observe. If still got sound then it's somethig wrong with your brakes
I normally have this sound when I drove through flood and after washing car lol.

ok i will. hopefully nothing serious. so far my brake work just fine. hopefully the sound will gone in few days
*
I don't know which brake pad OEM they use, but it's different than the last gen persona or preve. The last gen persona and preve produces damn a lot of brake dust, making your silver rims become black.
On the iriz however, it's non existent.

Good luck...can check here if unsure;

Not sure about the genuity but I also bought 2 to keep. It looks like it's imported by Giant from the EU region hence Shell Malaysia did not recognize this.

Looking for a Manual 1.6 Iriz Premium variant. Anyone selling? Thank you
*
Good luck finding one. I'm driving 1.6 MT exec.
I skipped the premium cos have problem with keyless (and you always have to engage to R to stop the car or something, cant remember) and the door handle always patah (cos the integrated button to lock/unlock car plastic part was made thinner to route cables through).
Other than that it's fine. I'm enjoying the manual, especially going up hill and winding roads. Traffic jam also not a problem due to the light clutch. Getting up to 160kmh is easy and the engine starts to scream. If it has 6-speed then it's perfect.

Anyone have try other brand eo for iriz?

Already tried
Shell 5w40
Petronas 5w40
*
Syntium 3000 5w40 - Engine become noisy and rough, if car not started >2 days, have knocking sound before the car starts.
Liqui Moly 10w40 semi - Ok not bad. Engine smooth and quieter. RM140. Still have knocking sound when starting car if left for 2 days or more.
Giant Shell Helix ultra 5w40 - Nothing much diff from the liqui moly, but my car left 2 days no knocking sound when start blink.gif

Want to try castrol magnatec next time.

Thanks. Those mileage like 7k above with this eo give rough engine noisy as well?
*
I thought of using Liqui Moly till 10k but changed after 7k, because 10 months already still not yet exceed 7k LOL. Didn't give me any rough engine feel. Just need to change because it's almost 1year.

The sound is louder than exhaust? like noticeable on normal drive?
*
Mine is noticeable when turning left and front left tyre hitting pothole. The sound is like something loose underneath, not loud but noticable when no music playing.
Straight road no sound.

oops i realised imgur attachment does not have sound, will re-upload it with sound

Does anybody know how to remove the aircond vent on the left/right side? Do I simply use to a pry tool, and squeeze it in between the dashboard and vent, and pry it open?
*
Just pull out, by holding the both side of the vent. It's only secured by wedge type, no fragile clips there. Don't touch the movable part else the vent will probably break.
Left side is easier to remove, after removing glovebox you can push the vent from the inside.
The right side you need to slowly pull left and right until it slowly detach.

Crayzee, how did you remove the steering horn/airbag cover? I see two screws behind the steering, anything else? This won't affect the airbag right? haha

There's definitely something loose inside.
*
Screw less, bottom of steering got one hole in the center, just push something flat inside and the cover will detach
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIatQITbGag something like this, in the video got 2 holes. Our car only 1 hole.

Remove battery terminal 1st before you do that, i am not responsible if the airbag explode in your face XD

Guys, do you able to turn your steering wheel like this with minimum effort?

user posted image

I think my steering wheel still has the same problem, my steering wheel is heavy to turn, it is impossible to turn my wheel with 1 hand.
*
I don't use this way to steer my steering. I think it's quite heavy which i prefer since i can do 150 easily without the steering goyang left right.
The EPS is not like toyota EPS which u can even use 1 finger to turn haha.

Hi guy..need verification ..as im barely drive my car on night also daytime, it is the low-beam light is kaput ady? Only figure this out last night when driving..cant see properly with low beam

When set to 1st light..only drl is dim..no light on inside / outside light

When set to low beam, drl is dim, only outside light is on.

*
Yours is premium, the DRL takes over the functionality of the position light. The inside is high beam while the outside is the low beam.

Only executive and standard have those marker light like the one below here.

Small matter don't need to depend on SC to settle it (as they might also cincai do the work), just DIY it.

Mileage? All stock?

Aren't Iriz 1.6MT a rare breed?
*
50k mileage, only mods are door soundproofing, adding mid bullet to reduce exhaust boominess and change front speaker to component.
Anyway i traded in already today.

Rare but no demand here as all want auto.
