1. Just now I have tried to change my Iriz 2019 (1.6L exec) center TFT display illumination setting by following the Owner's Manual page 77, but failed to change the illumination level. [solved: illumination level adjustment only can be done after switch on the head light]

2, Also, when I have long (maybe >10s) pressed the multi info display button as instructed in Owner's Manual page 77, my ODO reading at right bottom corner has become 0km millage...what is happening???

Anyone Iriz 2019 owner has encountered above bugs?

Luckily so far these bugs not affect the driving, generally I like the driving and handling of this car.

So fast?!

Hmm .. i will give one more week to my SA.
If not i will cancel the booking and take from Proton 4S directly.
*
Maybe my choice of Armour Silver is not the favorite color, so there is ready stock.

Also, good thing about my SA from Proton 4S, she has not overpromised me on new car delivery schedule.

Hope you will get your new car soon. cheers.

Based on my 20 years experience looking for them from Ampang - Puchong - Subang USJ - Petaling Jaya - OKR - Sunway all the way to Dengkil and have not found one...  bangwall.gif

Even all PESCs are hopeless, all the way to CoSE. The new 3/4Ss also a bunch of cut throat business just that they offer better customer service.

Only 1 Perodua ASC in Kampung Baru Ampang that I found that is super honest and trustworthy (only if you get the right SA) after visiting so many workshops & SCs...
*
I can understand nowadays rental and other overhead cost also high, so the workshop or the service center also need to earn sufficient money for their business, so I don't mind to pay the reasonable labor cost for the repair. However, I really cannot stand those dishonest workshop or service center, it is all about business ethic.

Another week over.
my car no news yet  vmad.gif
*
Since you already make the down payment, you should chase your SA to provide the car chassis number for you. If there is no car chassis number allocated for you, why your SA collect the down payment so early?

In my case, my 4S Proton SA never request me to pay the down payment until they have the car chassis number for me.

He just WhatsApp me. “Estimate” car arrive tomorrow.
After 1week, I hope this time really is waiting for registration.

Another weird thing, he telling me registration only can be done during weekday, Monday only can start do. But johor jpj is working from Sunday to Thursday. Which mean one week they only have 4days to register? Very not efficient lo...
*
That is good, hope you will get your new car next week. Cheers.

If not, keep chasing the SA to provide you the car chassis number to ensure the new car has been allocated to you.

I think is SA problem. He should check and get thing ready before pass the car to me.

Drive one whole day. So far so good. No weird sound from anywhere.

Speaker quality better than what I expect.

Baidu map traffic info not so accurate. Searching and location so far so good. Guidance I feel better than google map.

GKUI Voice command abit stupid. When I using gps and ask to open radio. The screen will switch to display radio. I need to order her open map again. It’s like,
1. Hi, proton. Let’s go home.
2. Hi proton. Open the radio.
3. Hi proton. Show the map.

Driving experience a lot better than myvi gen3 and axia.

Thumb up for getting your new Iriz.

My first filling fuel consumption after running in is 14km/L, 80% highway driving. Also first time ramp up the engine more than 4000rpm, the engine and CVT sound is acceptable to me.

By the way, my Iriz fuel consumption during running in (driving less than 90km/hr) about 12km/L.

Hi guys.. just get my iriz last week.. want to ask, how to change wallaper at my headunit? 2019 1.3 ex.. already tried put some pic in usb but cant set to wallpaper.. also, can i install apps in my hu?..
*
Today I have tried to change the head unit wallpaper, and it is done successfully. Firstly, you need to create a new directory "Wallpaper" in the USB and put the wallpaper picture in that directory. After that, go to head unit wallpaper setting and change it.

Hi, anyone knows where's the MAF / MAP sensor situated in the engine bay?
*
Have you found the MAP sensor location? I am interested to know too so I have tried to look for it, but Iriz intake manifold is at behind the engine and that area have lot of things blocking the view. Wonder it is same location as the Exora which shown in forum sometimes ago.

Edited: second attempt and have found my Iriz MAP sensor location.

I've found it not long after my posting. Unplugged it & looks dusty with some gunk. Sprayed with electronic cleaner & noticed the idling is smoother. Btw, ur engine bay looks clean.
*
Good to know that you manage to clean it and improve your idling condition, I think that will get back your engine efficiency as well. rclxms.gif

My car just one month plus old, that is why the engine bay still look clean...haha. Now I try to get familiar with the car including those sensor locations, so at least I know what to do if facing small issue such as rough idling etc. with this car in future.

Install Mx player.
Can play video from usb of most format even on driving. (for passengers entertainment only)

So far never try yet install any apps in this HU, normally I turn on my google map navigator or play video using mobile phone and mirror cast (via Easyconnection) it to the head unit screen.

2019 iriz 1.3 cvt standard reporting in
Still too early to tell but after driving for 2 days, felt the ~rm40k is quite worth it.

Observations
1. Drove on the highway with speed varies 90-120km with meter showing 5.6L/100km. I know this isn't that accurate.
2. 110 km/h @3000rpm.
3. Went over 120km/h and felt quite stable. Throttle response isn't too bad especially for a 1.3.
4. Road noise at times could be quite loud (due to stock tires).
5. Occasional wind noise above 80km/h.
6. I love the feeling and sound of how the doors close.
7. Left leg rest is only carpeted, feel like this part will be damaged quickly. Any suggestions?

Things i noticed not found in the brochure
1. Backseat headrest not adjustable (similar to persona).
2. No one touch signal.
3. Driver window auto down but not auto up.

Defects (?)
1. Liquid stains on both sunshades.
2. Muted soft "tik tik" sound when right turn. Only two notes. Will continue to monitor. Any hypothesis?
*
Congratulations getting the new car rclxms.gif

Drove above 90km(CVT)? Already finish 1000km "running in" as recommended by car maker as shown page 24 Owner Manual?

Over 3 years but below 20k? Wow.. true weekend car dis.. u need to service by months bro... Oils breakdown even if not used..
*
I guess my Iriz will be low mileage too, so this time I decide to use semi-synthetic for this new car because most likely my car is not going 10,000km within six months interval service, I feel that it will be waste if I go for fully synthetic oil.

in my experienced, it is good to practice using fully synthetic from day 1.
my old car proton waja, had a 297k km and never had a engine oil eating problem. was using a FS from day 1 n after warranty ended.

my friends, switching over between semi, mineral, fs. had an engine oil eating starting 140k km onwards.

if u want to had the car for a long time, recommended for FS
*
I did use fully synthetic oil for my Proton Wira and Proton Preve. In fact, I am still using fully synthetic for my Proton Wira because I do the oil change for my Proton Wira according mileage (not fix service interval).

I am not denying the good thing about the fully synthetic oil, it is just my personal feel that it is a waste if I have to change the fully synthetic oil for every six months interval with such low mileage.
