Eh so guys, I recently just realize that my car has some water leaking issue. There are 2 places that will be wet after raining (mysteriously it wont get wet after a car wash):

1) Spare tyre compartment (this one quite serious - at times it can bertakung quite a lot).

2) Beneath the back seat carpet (both sides).

Have anyone of you guys experience this before? If yes where are the areas that I can pin point to seal these leakage? Sent my City a few weeks back. Took sometime (days) for the shop to exactly identify the leakage area.

**2014 Iriz.

Hahaha. I have the same antenna issue as yours. I dont know what Proton did to cut cost but its really dissapointing. Did Preve or Suprima have similar issues with their antenna?

My wife's 12 year old Myvi had no such issue.

Really curious about the sharkfin also.

Let me share what happened last week to my 7 year old Iriz.

At a long traffic light stop suddenly the gear lever became loose. It can slide to any position without any resistance. So after reaching to a parking spot, tried to put it at P and managed to but the dash is still showing D. The lever bacame stuck now P. Off the engine but cant turn it back on as I think it is still registering in D.

Towed to workshop. Then mechenic told me it's the gear cable issue. Dont know la snapped or loose or what. Got charged RM150 without changing anything (dont know la got slaughtered or not). He said that Preve had this issue.

Well hope it doesnt happen to anyone that is in a critical spot/situation.

Just to share.

My Century car battery is entering 4th year, should I get it changed? It's kinda amazing this battery could last this long.

I am honestly confused as well for this. Previously my battey has entered well into its 3rd year. But I did changed it as I need a peace of mind for the outstation travel I needed to go that time.

But what I heard, proton's alternator will return a not so normal Voltage/Current rating and the machenic said it will impact the charging and ultimately the lifespan of the battery.

I was under the impression that it can only last < 2 years when he said that.
