Hi guise, I just got my 1.3 manual. Is it a new trend to hold the clutch to start your car?

QUOTE(KennRicky @ Jul 16 2019, 01:46 PM) 4) Real smooth to accelerate if u are a light footer like me, can't even feel when I already reach 100km ~ 110km/h. There will be no vroom vroom sound. But still will feel the vroom vroom sound when wanna potong car, means when suddenly heavy foot ~ normal la ~ I thought for auto you need to drive below 90km/h untill first service check? |

How much tinted cost you guys? Any recommended brand that doesn't hurt your pocket?
QUOTE(KennRicky @ Jul 16 2019, 08:50 PM) Lily? That's why I said I am not a non-car enthusiast. That's what i read from the text book they gave you. lolDidn't know got such things ~ But tried one time only on MEX highway, lesser car mah. Normally just stuck within city roads. Almost no chance to exceed 90km/h ~ Manual can go 110km/h on 5th gear.. basically don't exceed 3.5k RPM i think. |

QUOTE(kllam @ Jul 16 2019, 10:50 PM) Engineering explained is bullshit He just trying to explain why you need to break in the engine bro, like shown in that video even high performance car need some engine break in. Your sample size of 2 is not enough to apply to millions of new car produced every years. I've done all those he say not to do and my kenari is 320k km now, still can go 170kmh top speed, third day after i get the car already push top speed. Till now working fine, even compression test also good My iriz i whack max till 160kmh before the first 1000km, still can go that speed everytime i push it. I even rev till 4k rpm to shift the gear The speed limit and mileage need for the break in is probably over exaggerated by car manufacturers though. |

QUOTE(jVIPERs2 @ Jul 19 2019, 03:31 PM) Tall? Yes. Floaty, i don't feel that for this car and i loathe that floatiness on old Myvi. One thing i'm not fond of with the car is the gear ratio, gap between 4th & 5th is too high for my liking. |

QUOTE(khairilyazit @ Jul 20 2019, 09:22 PM) The iriz is floaty.. not as bad as the old myvi la.. Hmm.. maybe because i'm the one driving this time so i don't really feel it? But stock setup, there is still abit of understeer.. On old Myvi i could even get a headache because of the bounciness. ::edit:: just calculated FC from my filled up last week. RM30 for 190+km which is about 13km/l which is a little bit disappointed because my 1.6 waja campro did 240km+ for RM40 which is just over 12km/l. Dashboard still show 5-6 km/l. I wonder if i should have SC check the calibration.. This post has been edited by Acid_RuleZz: Jul 22 2019, 02:50 AM |

I get 310km for RM40 i filled last week. That's about 16km/l.
Meter show 5.3l/100km so still not accurate. Not gonna trust the meter anymore. QUOTE(Jescon @ Jul 29 2019, 09:45 AM) Interesting.. is it possible to record this tikus sound? Sometime i don't know i had this kinda problem until other people point it out. |

QUOTE(khairilyazit @ Jul 29 2019, 10:06 PM) Small kampung road man, 80+km/h is plenty fast. QUOTE(Elf71 @ Jul 30 2019, 10:25 AM) QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Jul 30 2019, 10:29 AM) QUOTE(megadisc @ Jul 30 2019, 01:17 PM) I say that was my best case scenario. Minimal road traffics for the whole week and chill driving with steady feet. I live in kampung near small town with low traffic so you guys can't really compare yours with mine. QUOTE(Jescon @ Aug 2 2019, 11:15 AM) Here's the video for the tikus noises. It's not really clear thanks to my phone's mic quality which is mainly picking up the tyre noise. Lol. Thanks for the video. Sound like some metal grinding.. is it the bushings? QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Aug 3 2019, 02:12 PM) Slightly lower if not similar to my 1.3l manual. QUOTE(khairilyazit @ Aug 3 2019, 04:38 PM) Really? I thought that's quite normal. QUOTE(HarshRalf @ Aug 6 2019, 11:14 AM) Hi There, new Owner here. Owned the new Iriz 2019 STD MT and just did my first 1000km service. Coming from a 2008 Proton Savvy MT. Bought the same model and color, i share similar pros and cons as yours except my problem with gear placement is shifting to 1st gear is quite far and sometimes i missed it. Overall quite happy with my decision of purchasing this car. Easily the best bang for buck for hatchback city cars. I'm happy with the purchase as well. QUOTE(Jescon @ Aug 6 2019, 01:50 PM) I have some questions: I can't find any button to close it as well, maybe it's not possible. 1) How do I close the aircond vents? I don't like the aircond blowing from the right side of the steering wheel, so I usually shut it off. I can't seem to find a way to close the vent for the Iriz. QUOTE(HarshRalf @ Aug 7 2019, 11:36 AM) Your clutch doesn't wear out fast meh you're doing like that. I stopped doing that when I watched Engineering Explained says keeping clutch in will wear out clutch bearing. Wear should be minimal if you fully disengage the clutch, many people love to partially disengage it especially at traffic light or hill stop which is a no no. QUOTE(HarshRalf @ Aug 9 2019, 09:37 AM) Quite easy to heel and toe even with stock pedal imo. I feel like Senna every time i did that. |

I created an accurate torque/curve graph after driving Iriz 1.3 MT for almost 2 months.

Yeah i got read about that, i was just wondering because the moment that eco light went away i can feel more power surging thru. ![]() QUOTE(Jescon @ Aug 13 2019, 05:07 PM) Just wondering because power delivery is pretty sluggish when that light is on compare to other car that i've driven. Maybe i should check my ECU? |
