QUOTE(N33d @ Nov 7 2018, 06:30 PM) First batch affected. Can claim for free cuz last time they release memo already but most places unless customer complain then they change because need to paint the sensor also.QUOTE(MichaelJohn @ Nov 8 2018, 12:12 PM) Looks like they are replacing the Punch CVT in the IRIZ to a 5 speed AT Good la. Hellow fellow Irizian,
I remember seeing someone mentioning about changing stroker kit to upgrade 1.3 to 1.6. Anyone have experience in this ? Does it affect the original ECU or need some tuning/piggy back ? Does the engine check light lights up constantly after upgrading stroker kit ? Any dyno result before and after ? Fuel consumption before and after ? Most importantly, still maintain the stock look in engine bay ? Can tell without dismantling the engine ? |

em busted my rear bearing, seems my bearing busted quite easily. just 4 month ago, change bearing on my front left and rear right wheel. anything to check? or it is just my luck? my area didnt have lots of pothole, and previous car seems to do fine for 6 years without busting any bearing.

QUOTE(yadea @ Nov 7 2018, 11:19 AM) What year car? Reverse sensors manufactured before June 2015 has calibration problem. Need to claim warranty. my car is OCT 2015 batch..Added Try this: always fill full tank and record the "calculated"(distance/amount of fuel during refueling) fuel consumption(not based on meter). Do this for about 5 times and see whats the difference between the fuels. Currently I'm using BHP because of cashback and free water. |

Does the engine check light lights up constantly after upgrading stroker kit ? -Havent heard of those complains before. Any dyno result before and after ? -No dyno graph to show but I have dynoed a 1.3 and 1.6 before for the charts. Fuel consumption before and after ? -Should be higher since higher displacement. Most importantly, still maintain the stock look in engine bay ? -No way to see from outside the engine. Can tell without dismantling the engine ? -Same as above. |

Hey Guys.
My iriz is 3 yo, got it from used car. Not sure previous owner did sent to Proton SC on schedule or not. I notice that the car will jerking when i pick up speed from 20km/h to 40km/h, jerk in very noticable level, however after 40km/h it will back to normal. Im thinking to send my car back to Proton SC to check on the CVT fluid since i think it's the main cause. Furthermore, also want to reset the digital display after changed the battery. What do you guys think? |

Also can check with proton on the previous owners servicing as the records will be stored with them if they have sent it to proton. My iriz is 3 yo, got it from used car. And if using, normal cheap led.. it will glow at the door position because there is a low voltage going through.. |

What u need to do is add/wrap a resistor around the connectors. Look for resistor with this value = 1k ohm 0.5wCenter lamp is 31mm festoon.. Btw, all the bulbs in my Iriz have been replaced with LED, that includes the turn signal lamp & even the number plate lights. So far I'm very pleased with it. Some might think what's the point? I'm actually not into taking advantage of the energy efficiency of LED, as I believe the energy savings are very negligible, if any. What I m looking for is the longevity & brightness (hence more safety due to increased visibility) of LED. Just "replaced & forget". This is especially important for the top mounted brake lights. Oftentimes I've seen a lot of cars having all brake lights failed, which is very dangerous to the driver & the car which is following from behind. With LED, I have peace of mind & rest assured it'll work as long as the lifetime of my car. So, no more worries on blown halogens.

What brand/type of bulb did u use?Generic led bulbs output does not match with their halogens counterpart... just blobs of bright light.. |

QUOTE(chiucheng @ Nov 14 2018, 08:01 PM) im interested to change my signal lights and reverse light into led, did u install extra load resistor for all of those bulb? or just for the turn signal ones? No load resistor required for all, except for turn signal lamp. I 1st bought those normal amber LED & got hyperflash issue (blinking rapidly like when a halogen is blown) & panel meter keeps showing check LH / RH signal. Then i look around n there r a few alternatives. One of it is to change the signal relay that's meant for LED. However, in iriz, there's no such relay to swap as it's embedded in the board that controls all these (forgot what the term). Then there's another option - add load resistors, but it gonna produce a lot of heat & I don't like the idea of those load resistors dangling around (we already hv enough headaches with rattling & vibration noise). Finally I managed to source from aliexpress. It's LED but built-in with resistor, hence maintaining the original wattage. If u want, I can PM u the link. But of course, it's pricey. And it's freaking bright when blinking at night. I can see those road signs reflecting amber color. 😁 But imo, not as annoying as those new Toyotas with rear fog light turning on when it's not necessary. Bright red light. FYI, Toyota even had released videos educating its drivers on what is the purpose of it & when it should be on ie. Heavy rain/fog. But I see those Toyota owners turned it on even when there's no rain. Eye sore. |
