I really want this one-shoulder dress from Zalora and I bought it the other day. I got the XS size for it (smallest size available). I guess I can consider myself small in size: my bust size is around 76cm (i wear a 70A) and I stand at 157cm tall. But the problem was, when I got the dress, I found that the dress was still too large and the side with no straps just sunk below my bust.. which was very discouraging. I had to return it back to Zalora in the end.
The size details of the dress is as below:
Bust circumference x Waist circumference x Hip circumference x Length
- XS (80cm x 84cm x 88cm x 89cm)
- S (86cm x 89cm x 94cm x 91.5cm)
- M (92cm x 94cm x 100cm x 93cm)
- L (98cm x 100cm x 106cm x 95cm)
- XL (104cm x 106cm x 112cm x 97cm)
And the model in the picture measurements:
Model's body measurements
Height: 174cm
Bust: 31"/79cm
Waist: 24"/61cm
Hips: 34"/88cm
Size of model's garment S
Now before i bought the dress: I DID look at the size details.. but wanted to try so I bought it and try. But had to return it lol.
Today I went to a lingerie store to have my bust measured and asked for opinions about the size and all, in case I had measured myself wrong at home.
And I know it's better to go to physical stores and try the clothes to see if they really fit before buying them..
Has anyone faced these sorts of problems before? How do you deal with getting a dress, that was the smallest size available, yet it was still to large for you to wear?
