Hi, currently using a laptop for design
Below are the spec

ASUS N43SL Jay Chou Edition Notebook
Processor :
Interl® Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2,3GHz 2.30GHz
Ram 4GB
NVIDIA GT540M
last year format and install to Window 10

I been using this laptop for 6 years for design purpose
software such as PS , AI, AFTER EFFECT, PREMIER PRO

I do also play games like dota2 and ragnarok(still the best game ever! xD)

Im facing problem like lagging, slow performace etc
but what i more concern is my C drive very less space, yet my D drive rarely use...
I already move most of the stuff to D drive including adobe software and uninstall my games (T^T)
Left some important files/ working files at C Drive

So what should I do to clean my C drive to make more space?
Or how do I use D drive wisely?
Or just get a new Laptop?

Heres a picture of my C drive after moving and uninstalling games

Resizing the drive is easy.

Download Easus partition master free

https://www.easeus.com/partition-manager/epm-free.html

Install. Then right click the Data drive and resize. Pull the drive size marker (left) if you want to shrink D space for C. Then apply.

Then right click C drive and extend the drive by pulling the marker to the right.

Apply the changed and it will request for restart. Then let it do all the moving and resizing and solve your space problem.

your system drive in a low space but your D drive still have much space. you can use free partition manager AOMEI Partition Assistant. It allows you to resize parition and get the unallocated space at the right side of system partition. and then, you can use extend partition wizard to extend system partition in windows 10 without data loss.

1. Upgrade your drive to SSD <- good investment, even you change laptop you still able to utilize the ssd as external drive

You are lucky with your hard drive still working for all this past 6 years. better replace it

I would suggest you to save and buy a new laptop to replace this old one
By seeing your usage, a new one would help a lot in those programs

most importantly check you ram usage, if it's near 4GB utilize that's the reason of slowing down . Solution just add RAM to like around 8gb

Your lappy would run just fine for the next 2~3 years, if it was totally for RO: and DoTA2
I remember well of this model! drool.gif

Should you need to run those editing apps at intermediate lvl- above 100 layers per project, file rendering;
kindly upgrade your ram storage from a total of 8gb up to 16gb~limitation vary by mobo model used for your lappy. Refer to your laptop documentation available on asus website.

My highest recommendation is to setup SSD unit to your laptop. They run super fast!
In fact, you'll experience just the same as of new high-end-ssdequipped-laptop with this investment. Much better than upgrading your RAM storage, when it comes to using experience.
