pass through it yesterday from jln davis to sg besi.

its a two lane single direction road tunnel. the traffic was moderate at abt 6pm but was smooth flowing since theres no junction, only one direction out.

one thing though....their touch and go panel is a bit too far to reach. shud be nearer like toll booths, they mount them on a box which brings the panel nearer to the driver.

Added on May 16, 2007, 11:38 amsemi value project or not??? we'll hafta see if theres any leaking ceilings

It would be a nightmare should an accident occurs inside the tunnel. Dunno whether they got a lot of emergency exits or not.

Leaking problem? It could happen as the drainage tunnel is just above (or below?) the road tunnels. Now that would be a nightmare. Drowning and traffic jams at the same time.

from what i watch from extreme engineering, the drainage is supposed to be on lower level. And if massive flood happens, they would shutdown the traffic tunnel and turn it into drainage too.

That will one damn expensive trip. At least RM1/km. I think at least 50% goes to the "Toll Devil's" pockets. vmad.gif

If that really happens, then Sg. Besi can besome a waterworld already.

Let's see how this project looks like in a few year's time. Hopefully it won't be like the buildings in Putrajaya. Everything is like coming apart. shakehead.gif

SMART tunnel made by not-so-smart ppl smile.gif referring to us malaysians.
i've got friends working there, and it's interesting to hear the things they say.
along the lines of.... saving cost of the project, some things have been..... smile.gif .... compromised.

oh well, but so is everything in malaysia, and they're all still functional..

At least this tunnel is free from "bocor" problem coz it is a drain itself.
