QUOTE(hye @ Mar 15 2009, 08:25 AM)
I had no issues coz the bank's T&C did state that withdrawal fees @ overseas ATM is RM12. So long they did not exceed this amount then I have no issues with the bank. (Cheaper fees would be a bonus) Compare RM 12 with credit card ATM withdrawal fees (I once pay more than a hundred bucks back then), it is still cheap.

Anyway, it makes sense that both parties want to make money out of you.

Al Rajhi only charges RM4 for overseas withdrawal.

Ok, here the procedure for apply Public Bank Visa Electron debit card:P
Go to find Customer service at Public Bank branch.
Fill out the form.
And the staff will ask you want to collect the card at the branch or by post, is up2u.
The staff will photostat your IC.
Wait for a letter which stated your card number from Public Bank and you have to deposit RM25 because it is annual fees.
Go to Public Bank cash deposit machine and deposit the money if you do not have Public Bank account.
About 5 days, the debit card is on your hand, and the pin number will send later by another mail for safety biggrin.gif

Remember to read the fees and charge of your debit card before you apply it blush.gif

I always use my RHB Cash-Connect Debit Card on ebay.
It's so convenient that you dont even need a credit card, provided you have enough amount of savings in your account.
However, you've gotta do some verifications of paypal code before using it. No statements are provided but you can check online regarding your transaction.
Beforehand, I had used the MOL Freedom Master Card by Eon Bank. I applied for this debit card during PC Fair few years back. It can be used for paypal. However, I have switched to RHB Cash-Connect Debit CArd as I have an account in RHB. It would be more convenient.

Yes, I did. You have to call up the customer service, the contact number is printed at the back of your card.
It usually takes around 3-4 working days. That is what I was told. I am still waiting for the code.
Hope it helps.

It may take up to 2 weeks. It depend on when petrol station owner claim the money from banks. Normally for it takes 2-4 days but there is 1 time where it take 2 weeks. That is because after I slide my debit card, I find out that the pump is broken & cannot fill petrol. Since the station owner not claiming any money from the bank, it float about 2 weeks.

Cimb have debit card nowadays? I don't think so. Even Maybank dont accept online transaction. You can try Public Bank Visa Electron for paypal.
