Yes that should be the only charges but need to confirm is it RM12 or different amount. Other positive note is normally the exchange rate is better because they normally use interbank rate. |

Other positive note is normally the exchange rate is better because they normally use interbank rate. I used SCB debit before to withdraw from overseas ATM. On my slip it says that RM2 has been charged by the overseas bank but in my statement, a total of RM12 was charged. Yes, the interbank rates are better than the money changer. No other extra fees incurred ... and wayyy better than using cash advance via cc. |

QUOTE(socratesman @ Mar 14 2009, 09:36 PM) I had no issues coz the bank's T&C did state that withdrawal fees @ overseas ATM is RM12. So long they did not exceed this amount then I have no issues with the bank. (Cheaper fees would be a bonus) Compare RM 12 with credit card ATM withdrawal fees (I once pay more than a hundred bucks back then), it is still cheap. Anyway, it makes sense that both parties want to make money out of you. |

QUOTE(lynnoyw @ Mar 15 2009, 02:19 PM) Ok, here the procedure for apply Public Bank Visa Electron debit card:P Go to find Customer service at Public Bank branch. Fill out the form. And the staff will ask you want to collect the card at the branch or by post, is up2u. The staff will photostat your IC. Wait for a letter which stated your card number from Public Bank and you have to deposit RM25 because it is annual fees. Go to Public Bank cash deposit machine and deposit the money if you do not have Public Bank account. About 5 days, the debit card is on your hand, and the pin number will send later by another mail for safety Remember to read the fees and charge of your debit card before you apply it http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/perso...ates/cards.html This post has been edited by bingozero: Mar 15 2009, 07:04 PM |
