QUOTE(wkf @ Mar 9 2009, 01:53 AM) is anyone experiencing maybank debit card. is it as useful as other debit card... i keen to get 1.... Mbb DC for me not very good as it only functioned like Bank card only and only few selected VISA terminal can detect them. I try to shop around with this card and found out the merchant that accept bank card, u can use it, but not for visa or mastercard terminal. Also for online purchase, u cannot use that card.(Based on my experience of using it)Try go for RHB Cash Connect Debit Card, it can be used t any merchant that stated visa or mastercard (depend on type of card, sum place only accept visa and vice versa) and also can be used online. Other types of it that you can check : Ambank Stan Chart Al-Rajhi Affin etc Go and browse bank web site to find that is suitable 4 u. |

QUOTE(hye @ Mar 2 2009, 05:38 PM) Alrajhi bank charges RM4 per withdrawal.Added on March 10, 2009, 12:29 pm QUOTE(roustabout @ Mar 8 2009, 05:24 PM) So will my money will instantly debit(reduce) once I booked the hotel online when i use debit card? Or the hotel only debit my after I check out from the hotel? anybody can explain it to me... Here is my experience while staying in Hong Kong. Usually the hotel will charge a deposit when you check in. If the hotel room is RM300 & you are staying for 2 nights, they will take around RM900 off your debit card. Upon checking out, they will reverse the fund and charge you the actual charges but then this wont be reflected in your balance immediately. This will only happen after 4-7 days of the transaction. As for my Hong Kong deposit, it took about a month for it to be reflected into my account balance. This depends on hotel. Added on March 10, 2009, 12:32 pm QUOTE(jack2 @ Mar 5 2009, 03:11 PM) Which bank offers the lowest withdrawal charge and convertion of foreign exchange rate without or with lowest additional admin charge on withdrawal made through ATMs in overseas? I believe it is Al Rajhi Bank. RM4 per withdrawal overseas. I didn't mind keeping my funds in Malaysia while traveling and withdrawing it at ATM machines with VISA logo in it. Foreign currency rates also quite reasonable. This post has been edited by yewjin: Mar 10 2009, 12:32 PM |

QUOTE(Pr3d4tor @ Mar 11 2009, 03:52 PM) Hi meh!!! Yalor, MBVD mar. No prob using it. Maybe your limit you never change? Default limit is RM500 only if not mistaken. To change, go to an ATM machine to change it, maximum is RM5k.It works like a credit card only, how often CC gets rejected? |

Just a quick one
For Maybank VISA Debit Card (not the atm Bankcard), can use it to withdraw cash in overseas atm machine? Let's say go to Taiwan, then use this card to withdraw cash is it possible? Is there any extra charges? |

Hi,
But i just can't find the options at PBE to transfer money from my savings to Visa, if it is under Transfer Fund->own acc. but the only option i can see is transferring money frm visa to savings but not vise versa. Then i try look around transfer fund- 3rd party at PBE, i registered my visa card acc. at the Favorite 3rd Pary. but when i click again at registered Fav. 3rd party transfer i got a error message "This request could not be executed. Please register accounts" but i just did that previously. Finally the last option i see is to transfer money using a Open 3rd party acc. but i am still not to sure this is the correct way to transfer money? so how one transfer money to your Visa Electron using PBE? Question 2, How to top up using a PB ATM deposit machine? I have yet still received the pin no. can it be done without the using the card pin no.? or i have to wait. Thx for your help.
