When will this Redmi Note 5 Pro be released in Malaysia?

Launching at Xiaomi MY stores starting from tomorrow, 5-May.

I noticed some online seller quoting different spec on the redmi note 5 pro. some says that the Malaysian market redmi note 5 pro is equivalent to China version of Redmi Note 5 Plus. The major difference being the sensor and lens on the primary camera and the front facing camera drop from 20mp to 13 mp.

Actually, I am looking at the 6GB RAM which cannot be found in other phones in this price range..

Well fear not, heard that Xiaomi is releasing a mi 6x or A2 in international market that comes with 6gb and even better SoC SD660 plus beefier camera specifications too

Interesting. But mi 6x does not support microSD card and the battery 3010 mAh battery...price is about 25% higher than Note 5 pro

yeah but 64gb is plenty enough at least for me, as for the battery issue....hey they xiaomi also thought about this and so they gave quick charge capability. 50% capacity in 30 minutes. well, we cant' have it all, can't we?

You are right...They cannot provide everything in one phone with so competitive pricing.

I think they purposely do so so that they can sell more...

Yes me too, need bigger battery, SD Card & 6GB RAM. Most important cheaper, no need fast cpu coz not using for gaming.

I now carry 2 phones, 1 has an Sg sim card, the other a M'sian sim card. To avoid paying for data roaming, I use hotspot to connect the "foreign" phone to the "local" phone for data access. With the Redmi 5 introducing dual space, how practical is it to merge operating the 2 sim cards into 1 phone? How easy is it to continue this local/foreign hotspot operations from 1 physical phone. Anyone has experience on this?

If you are using two sim cards, you can set the default internet sim card in the Settings > SIM Cards & mobile networks (see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5jM3cJecBc)

When you make calls/ SMS, you can choose which sim card to be used as well.
