looking forward for the 4K too. until today no news and EPL is starting this weekend, so i think 4K is no where near..

I am staying in an apartment and applied. This morning already got call from Astro confirming on my application for the beta tester.
She ask whether my apartment use individual or centralize dish, mine is individual so can proceed and now waiting to installer set appointment.

only manage to try for a short time since i'm working, arrange with the installer to come during lunch break. biggrin.gif

- they will change the LNB receiver
- old remote still can use with the new decoder
- use 'sim card' instead of the old smart card

My guess the function is same as the old smart card, just smaller size which is similar to sim card as we use for mobile phone. The installer use the word 'sim card' which also make me curious. hmm.gif I will check the manual book when I'm home.

Yes, just the LNB receiver, still using the same dish for byond.
I'm on superpack 1, RM150++

No, still use HDMI cable to connect to TV and also cable connected from power supply . The picture is from the box, I didn't manage to snap photo of the actual decoder as I was in rush. It's very small, save space. thumbup.gif

for me;
good

1. HD channels look better, i don't know maybe the resolution settings to 2160p improve the tv upscaling.
2. both UHD channels show same thing, boring .. and not all EPL in the channel . but the quality is great.
3. cloud recording - sucks because for now not all channel or programme can be recorded.
4. my tuner diagnostics shows this; strength>80, quality <20 , is this acceptable?

but overall is good.

3. local channels (rtm, media prima) , but the installer did inform me that astro is working on this.

the UI is doing fine for me, no noteable lag. i like the responsiveness.
I just notice that we can't pause and rewind like last time in pvr stb. hmmm..

well i didn't manage to submit feedback because no option to select for the feedback category.

Weird, I don't have the 'technical assistance' option if i select beta v1.2, still cannot proceed with feedback. I thought problem is phone browser, tried on desktop also same problem.
the live chat also cannot go through.

I want to report my issue; since swap with the new STB my soundbar got no sound using HDMI ARC . blink.gif

i notice since the last update for ultra box on 25th Sept, even the 4K channel also.

edit : Release date: Sep 25 2019 , receive the update around 1st week of October.

Just notice CH498 (Astro Best) is in UHD too, currently showing Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Hi,

For now I just use optical cable(tv output to soundbar)

Already give feedback to Astro during beta period, but seems no respond form them.

But I never tried connect using the HDMI ARC to soundbar with the latest firmware update of the Ultra box.

btw what tv are you using? Sony AndroidTV?
