In my opinion, instead of banning Android box, and any other stuff that would affect Astro's revenue and its earnings, why not Astro offer/provide something even more and better that other platforms/medium don't have?

Astro should convince consumers why we should stay on their service, not depend on government ban on something that will help to increase their revenue, stock prices, etc. We are paying money to Astro, and by right consumer deserve better service from them, better than free or piracy ones of course.

If Astro still has the mentality to ban stuff that potentially affect their revenue, definitely they won't go far in the long run, and they will slowly decline. year by year.

no wonder I see many houses especially Indian own have "different" Dish vs the normal Astro one..

Sending feedbacks to the website feels like wasting my time. I've put so much hope to their software team to really take it seriously to fix some issues and implement something new on the software, as I hope for the best for them. Turns out either the site is just for show and make us feel like they are so open hearted to accept feedbacks. Turns out I'm just fantasising too much.

I doubt that the beta software team are even reading those feedbacks and suggestions that are posted directly by beta testers. It seems to me that only those filtered, summarised feedbacks by some customer support team would be forwarded and referred to the software team, which I see this as a very ineffective and inefficient way.

Can't fix certain issues? Why? Please explain and communicate with interested beta testers on what are the difficulties that the software team are facing, instead of telling "we are working very hard to improve the software". Duh, I don't know you guys work very hard meh?

If there is such thing as Astro beta testers community discussion, I would love to join. Any new stuff, new hardware equipment, I would love to test it out and share my feedback, as long they don't ignore and sweep my feedback under the carpet because their customer service team already done this to me for many years already. I have tons of suggestions for them, till the point that sending email or call customer service support can become annoyed of me.

Well my appointment for Ultrabox installation have been reassigned tomorrow.
The installer ald said they will be replacing the satellite receiver and decoder which is good enough.

more like cost saving measures on astro side...
should just let the respective channel provider give direct Malaysia only feed.. should be cheaper because MYR is higher than India currency    like how Colours HD channel.. have timer on the left top part too (to know when the ads finished)

What will be next step?

I been informed to choose between these two options:
Contract and without contract

Free installation but 2 yrs contract. If terminate earlier, penalty rm1.6k (no pro rated)

For without contract, u need pay rm499 for installation fee.
