Anyone's PVR cannot record certain channels? So far I found that Ch350, 834, 841 cannot be recorded. Nothing happens when you press record. It actually gets added to the booking list but the recording does not start The pause and rewind function cannot work for those channels as well.

Seem to have started some time on the 9 Jan 2019 til now.
Was ok on 8 Jan at least for ch350 as I have set it to series record.

May be Astro problem. I notice the affected channels seems to take slightly longer to display when you switch to them, maybe a couple seconds longer compared with the ok channels.

Based on this video posted on WLT's Facebook page, TVB Jade will now be part of Dynasty Package. If that's the case, then there's no reason to subscribe to Jade Pack anymore just for TVB Jade.

WLT removed, to be replaced with TVB Jade/WLT combo. Force WLT(SD) viewers to upgrade to HD

Makes more sense to remove AOD since TVB Jade will be added to Dynasty PACK. Duplicate contents form TVB Jade. AOD used to be ad free when it first launch, now contain ads just like normal channel.
They have already push AOD channels to AstroGo for iptv subscriber, only retaining CH350.

This should be the next move. Might as well just get the previous/missed episodes from AstroGO (they are already available there) since WLT going to AstroGO too.

Is TV Okey ch146 available on Astro IPTV platform? The channel is missing for me. This channel is supposed to be available for everyone right?

My pvr (DMT 4) got update error this morning.
Keeps repeating trying to update every few minutes when on standby but fails every time. Any solution?

Switch off the power to your PVR box, and then turn it on.
Press and hold the Ch+ and Ch- keys on the box simultaneously when the "boot" message appears on the front panel.
Wait until the "Clr" message appears on the front panel, then release the Ch+ and Ch- keys.

Once done everything (and now you can watch Astro TV channels as usual), put your PVR box to standby mode, and let it run software update automatically (if have). 

If the update error issue still persists, then it's time to probably say goodbye to your PVR box.
Contact Astro customer service, get a technician come over and check, replace a new box.
Replace a new PVR box, also means you won't be able to recover all your recordings on your current PVR box.
Astro would also take this opportunity to upsell their Ultra Box to you. So if you interested, then just proceed.

You are advised to do your research on the pros and cons with PVR box versus Ulti / Ultra box before deciding.

Is it tricky to trigger force update on the pvr dtm4?
I have no success triggering it.

Boot then power - ch+ - power - ch+ ...... Until update appear. Correct?

Update:
Looks like Astro just fixed the problem. Just managed to login again.

** is this a common issue?! few times a week the ultra box will "freeze" on a channel. The remote is working; because the box light will blink confirming its receiving. It’s like you want windows to log you in to your user account by default for everyone that is using the computer and give them full access to your everything including personal files, browsing history and expect people to select log off and then log into their user account
It would be better if there’s only 1 profile just automatically auto select the 1 profile for the ultra/ulti box, only prompt when there’s multiple profile

Hi,

Currently still under AstroIPTV with TIME. Have been using Astro PlugNPlay for about a year already.

Just received a call from Astro that they will convert TIME to Astro Fiber by end of the year.

Need advice how to separate Time broadband from Astro subscription. I would like to keep the Time Broadband instead of using Astro Fiber. Hopefully with no interruption to the internet connection.

Do you really want to convert that soon though? Cuz it's like, you're the last few remaining of Astro IPTV TIME customers out there... sweat.gif

Anyway, to do so, tell Astro that you would like to decouple your Astro IPTV TIME subscription into standalone TIME Fibre subscription, and you are not interested in Astro Fibre.
Doing so will also mean you'll lose Astro IPTV Multicast service permanently.

To continue enjoying Astro TV service thereafter, they'll offer you to upgrade to Ulti or Ultra Box and then opt for Plug & Play service.
Pros of Plug & Play service is, it's purely Internet streaming to access Astro channels/content & no satellite dish involved. Cons of Plug & Play service is, it is adaptive streaming and the streaming performance is subjected to network congestion.

If you insist to use back your PVR box, you can only go for Satellite option, where either you connect to your building's centralised dish or use your own Astro dish if your building management allows it.

The likely reason they tell you to go for Astro Fibre is, probably they found out that TM HSBA coverage is available for your unit. If you proceed with Astro Fibre, TM fibre cable will be layed (if haven't) and use for your Astro Fibre service.

My personal opinion: If you already have TIME, why bother going for Astro Fibre which uses TM infra...? sweat.gif
If I were you, I'd rather stick to standalone TIME Fibre.

I am keeping the Time Fibre.

Was seeking advice how to decouple Time from astro with minimal and hopefully no down time to the internet.

Anyway still waiting for Astro to call back. Was busy and asked them to call back. See what they have to say. Astro Fibre is not available at my place as from Astro website.

Is there anywhere we can terminate astro physically?

I would like to terminate the Time broadband service but keep the current astro subscription.

Calling their customer support got transferred around and then on hold for very long with no one answering.

Yeah. They also removed support for some remote control buttons from old pvr remote controls. B'yond button, info button no longer get any respond. Removing these shortcut buttons will require more button presses to do the same thing.
