Anyone here recieved the 30mbps speed upgrade? Nearing the end of 2018 and still have 10 mbps internet for Astro iptv

I have just noticed that Astro has delayed FOX Sports 3 (SD & HD) for 2 minutes.

Some countries people tend to streak naked around the stadium
Imagine A live sport event, broadcasted in 8K (maybe 4k for astro lah).......then suddenly there is hot man with large stick or sexy woman with perfect body curve + twin fresh papaya streaking across the stadium LIVE!!!!

Because the business is very expensive. Gobind now only realized that he cannot go ask payTV to reduce price like telcos or internet service provider. Pay TV business is expensive in all stages, that's why no new reliable player. Astro is natural monopoly and not because of legislation or anything.. its just that no other company can afford to pay for content or infrastructure cost, market is limited. (not huge as Indonesia or Thai or India) we really need to understand this.

The only alternative is internet service like netflix,iflix and viu. but even those service, once they expand enough and started need to have surplus cash movement, price will be increase, content will be slim down or maybe subscription based on tiers will be introduced. Capitalism always win and correct itself.

Malaysia FTTH services still considered expensive compared to Thailand. See pic attached.

บาท = baht, Thai currency unit, ISP = TOT Public Company Limited, Thai state-owned telecommunications company.

Hopefully, MCMC can pressure more on ISP to bring down the current price.

I also experienced delay while watching AFF Cup on Fox Sports (Fox feed delayed by few seconds compared to RTM feed).

I think Fox feed on Astro are delayed because Astro injected their own ads. I remember someone once said Fox feed on Unifi TV aren't delayed compared to Astro.

Because there is no famous competitors in Malaysia, of course can sell expensive what they want.
Plus government does not enforce standardize the reduce pricing broadcast just like fiber/internet service provider.

Saw the fiber + astro iptv, YES the price should be reduce. However, seems like only fiber pricing reduce, but same price as previously of iptv.

Don't expect too much of government reduce price broadcast. If really do, Gobind had done already.
