Great info and good summary as you compare the payTV situations in Asia post-cessation of FOX SPORTS. It seems like all providers are scrambling to fill in the gap left by Fox Sports. For Astro and other providers, having inhouse channels might be the solution in addition to SPOTV. Still wondering what contents will be on SPOTV2 since Astro is only taking SPOTV1.

A follow-up for my Astro IPTV question that I asked days before:
- What property can the Astro installer installs Astro IPTV on, or is it limited to landed properties / condominium?
- As I know that it has a VLAN to transfer IPTV data, where does the IPTV data comes from? Is it directly from Astro's Bukit Jalil HQ, or it's something like CDN?
- Any other routers to recommend for this kind of IPTV services (supports VLAN / IPTV stuffs)?

AFC Champions League which is currently airing on FOX SPORTS is strangely missing in Astro's new sport channels replacement.

My understanding of that article is that Astro is the best way of getting the widest coverage of sporting events because you may need to subscribe to a tons of apps just to watch what were on FOX Sports before.

I think so. Malay-speaking market (Indonesia & Malaysia) is very big. Is Singapore the best place for regional office? These companies regional offices are based in Singapore:

Last week, SCM and SCM Legends has been replaced with Wion TV and Techstorm as a part of a transition period.
Now Fox Life, Channel V and Star Chinese Channel have been removed from the line-up as of today. As of now, viewers are watching the temporary channel, Celestial Movies and MTV Live HD, which was broadcast in SD until today. Only one week left until all channels have been replaced completely.

Meanwhile, several new channels have been confirmed for replacement, one of them is MyToonz, HorizonSports and SPI's Dizi channel. I think the last one will attract many Turkish drama fans in Indonesia.

Nope, they already removed some of the channels since last week. BabyFirst and Mola TV Free were also the casualties in this case.
I guess they weren't avid of enjoying the free preview of Mola TV's contents. Which was a shame, because they just renewed their contract to air this season's Premier League.

The problem is that broadcasting rights are very expensive if bought altogether by only one pay-TV platform. So platforms depend on content providers to carry the rights to be broadcast in that area. And the carriage is dependant on each provider, so you can't get one with the other.

Do you know what else is monopolized? Our internet provider. Out of all the internet companies that delivered, only one is available in all areas, and that's state-owned Indihome, which is notorious for its horrid internet speed and service. Much like TM's Unifi internet. And I really hated Indihome so bad, because that's the ONLY provider available in my house.
