The bitrate...... ( 4.5 - 4.7 Mbps ) 1080 interlaced.........not progressive.

They is seldom have broadcast channel in 1080p, even Singapore also all in 1080i.

It's free, so that's feasible enough. Probably would be improved in near future.

Honestly i wouldn't mind the current charges, as long as they have improved the overall quality. Both the CS & (less delayed) broadcast quality.

To me the Recycle Bin of astro's basic offering is not worth if more then RM50

Some of the basic offering is useless...
Should cut those channels... One I can think is the Arab channel.. astro Prima or oasis also can be cut 😑

That one is basic offering cost around RM20 or RM30 include HD then can acceptable.
I think Prima and oasis won't be cut, coz populations of Malay people still watch that channels. EXCEPT the Arab channels.. Seriously no subtitle, how to expect people to watch Arab channels?

oh forgotten.. yeah.. Malays contents is important for astro.. so those 2 channels is maintained..

as for the Arab channel.. I also don't understand.. but there's once I just happen to watch.. got Arab music video.. OMG!.. same level like Hollywood.... damn sexy yo.. totally westerner style and I was thinking all cover like ninja

can resell unused beyond decoder to other ppl? can be used with other smart card? no binding machine SN with smart card number?

Well I've stopped using astro for 2 yrs now, today got a call from them for old customer

2 months free all channels
Subsequent months is $20 a month for 90 channels but forgotten to ask Cs what's in the 90 channels

Anyone got the same or care to elaborate the 90 plus channels listing?

My one also receive the call and been activated for offer me free channels.

Just a bit disappointed don't free me movies pack.
