Man, ever since I updated to the new Astro interface, my PVR decoder will usually hang and won't respond to the remote anymore, until I forcefully reset it by unpluggin the power and connecting it back again
Anybody else having this issue with their decoder? |

QUOTE(joshhd @ Jun 13 2020, 12:22 AM) Could you elaborate further on how your Astro Go app becomes hang? Have you try using Astro Go on other devices (e.g. computer, other phones, etc.)? Ever since the box was updated to Ultraview, it's hardly responding to remote command What you mean updated to the new Astro interface on your PVR box? Did you mean the same software used in Ultra Box? ![]() QUOTE(ukiya21 @ Jun 13 2020, 12:00 PM) The astro go apps just dont load. Stopped at the loading page. Btw, the ultrabox installed at my parents' house also got problem now. Cannot access the VOD function. It wont connect to the internet. I used both wifi and ethernet to connect. when test results said connected but i cant access my library. Now can only watch live tv. The boxset menu all disappeared. Same with me. It even prompts me to "connect to the internet" even tho wifi is already connected. I can't view VOD anymore[attachmentid=10515182] [attachmentid=10515186] |

Astro keep calling me to upgrade to the new decoder, which I am not keen to
![]() In any case I am telling them that I am still using a CRT tv QUOTE(stasio @ Jul 3 2020, 09:11 PM) Considering that a lot of people don't even have 1080p TV, let alone 4K with HDR, it's a waste to offer it. Heck, SkyTV in the UK is only recently offering it (on 26th May 2020!), and even then it's only On Demand contents in limited quantity. This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Jul 4 2020, 11:31 AM |

QUOTE(Zot @ Nov 11 2020, 08:02 AM) But many said, "It's 2020. Still people watch Astro?" There are still people, my friends included, that uses RCA with their kick ass 4K TV. Memang la no difference from those pirated streams. They never actually see HD as intended šš![]() Many online one even stated as HD is not really HD |

QUOTE(surrodox2001 @ Nov 12 2020, 12:48 PM) So now hdmi splitter has hdcp decode function already? I thought you have to pasang a tv in order to decode the hdcp signal It's been years tho. It's an open secret, especially for those wanting to capture from PS4 years ago due to HDCP blocking capture cards from being used |

QUOTE(John42 @ May 16 2021, 04:37 PM) More like the UI is quite heavy, and you are meant to have the box on standby instead of turn off whenever you are not using it so that it does not take it's time to turn on again. Also the smaller box means it overheats easier. Get a USB laptop cooling pad and put it on that and that should help with heat ventilation |

QUOTE(michaelkkl @ May 29 2021, 08:47 PM) Disney pay to Media Prima to have ads on Media Prima channels IIRC the leaked 1 year price for non astro user is around RM63. That is actually cheaper than getting a Movie Pack with Astro since it will be Movie Pack Price + RM60 (RM5 x 12 months). If you already have a movie pack subscription, well you are saving RM3 a year, but if you don't already have one, it's not worth it to get the movie pack just to save RM3Media Prima gets money by promoting Disney+ I believe it is ok as not every family has Astro. |

My issue is login is tied to your phone number for non astro users on Android right now. Here are some cons: 1. The settings are very limited; including no device registration list, no watch history, and no dark (blue) mode. 2. Individual profiles are not available. 3. Only watchable for up to 2 devices concurrently. ![]() ![]() ![]() Tip: For those using pihole DNS server, whitelist geolocation.onetrust.com to get Disney+ working This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Jun 1 2021, 06:19 AM |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 1 2021, 04:39 PM) Region locking without having to resort to VPN. Means that unless you have that country's phone number, you can't subscribe. For example Hotstar in Indonesia is cheaper, but we can't access that unless we have an Indonesian number |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 5 2021, 12:57 AM) First time in Malaysia??? I mean there is a reason that only Singapore gets the full fat Disney+ and Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines gets the Hotstar version. There are just not enough people who even have 4K devices, let alone Dolby/DV/ATMOST in these countries to justify getting the full version by Disney. Hence it's cheaper for them to offload it to a third party partner. We famous of getting sup par service & products... So it's no surprise D+ Hotstar also like this.... Also see the trend... Malaysian love cheap stuff... So if they bring first class package, can u guys all pay for it? Keep complain expensive š |
