Yea got display astro welcome start up message, i think need to follow what astro mentioned via sms, so pening kepala la..

Everything settle balik rumah buka astro, hello problem, terus i tidur, depressed hahaha

Be prepared to change box

Because nowadays all the card is linked to the box...

You take out the card put into other people box... Won't work anymore...

Like the old days where got those silver box... Can buy from electronics shop... If box rosak... Put in sim, and work as usual....

Hello guys I need some clarifications, I’m doing this for my wife. I just got off the phone with their CS. To subscribe Astro one I must upgrade to ultra or ulti box, FAQ said no need, only if I have add-on app. Also I must pay for the service upgrade, is it correct?

FYI because I don’t want to switch to Astro one they gave me RM15 rebate for 24months. Presently my wife subscribed to dynasty/Wah pack (can’t remember the name).

One last question, my wife asked me whether using ulti box is difficult to navigate?

Very doubtfull these new packs wl attract many,astro's main intenetion is to tie us to another 2 year contract. , i only hv 3 months to finish with astro, many like me cannot tolerate the repeats and adverts. Imagine 4 Tamil channels are reycling the same content for years.Even their radio stations repeat the same songs over years!Even exclusive packs are flooded with their adverts.Almost 15 tamil channels carry the same advertisements tongue.gif Yet for astro 1 u still hv to pay another rm14.95 for Ind.Fav!!Astro 1 serves to attract advertisers and its big revenue for them

Correct. Price remain the same after 24 months.

If your intention of switching to the new packs is because you want to pay lesser monthly fee than what you're paying now, then don't waste your time exploring on My Astro.
My Astro will not allow you to submit order if it detects that the eventual monthly fee is becomes lower than what you're paying now.

Just contact customer service, ask them to do it for you instead.

Since you contacted them through WhatsApp live agent, and they didn't raise any issue, then should be able to add Multiroom.

To all legacy pack customers out there who wishes to add Multiroom (Box or Smart TV), you can also contact customer service (including live chat agent) and ask them to add for you.

Initially I tried the My Astro app, can't
So I call up Astro via phone, the agent added the smart tv multiroom and I activate the tv on the spot while still talking on the phone.

Tomorrow another technician will come over around 12pm, today the first technician said can come b4 7pm but 6.55pm send WhatsApp cannot come, bodoh betul

To subscribe Astro one I must upgrade to ultra or ulti box, FAQ said no need, only if I have add-on app.
When existing customers switches to Astro One packs, by default, they will upgrade your box if they see that you're still using HD or PVR box.
However, it is not mandatory to upgrade, and you can request to remain your existing box if you're not ready.

The FAQ said no need, so FAQ is correct. But the agent said must upgrade, so the agent gave wrong information then (again, which I'm not surprised).

Astro will encourage you to upgrade to Ulti/Ultra Box when you try to add-on app, so that you'll be able to access the apps right on your Ulti/Ultra Box.
From customer experience perspective, it does make sense, because when you subscribe apps through a pay TV provider (Astro), naturally customer would expect that they can also access the app through the Astro box.

If you want to continue using HD or PVR box (which doesn't support any streaming apps), and you subscribe to the apps addons from Astro, then you can access the apps through your own devices only (smartphone, tablet, computer).
Most customers would find this "user experience flow" to be somehow "weird".

I’ll try my best to answer your questions I’m not so tech savvy. Wargamas.

RM15 rebate no contract, the rebate is for 24 months as I’m NOt upgrading to Astro One. Will revert to RM86.40/month, my current subscription fee. My wife only watches TVB Jade and TVB entertainment. I don’t watch Astro much. The CS said my rebate has no contract but will check it out as you suggested.

CS said I have to pay a ulti box connection fee if I elect to upgrade to Astro One. Not mentioned in FAQ.

I’m using a standard Astro decoder.

Thank you for taking your time to answer my query.
