1) yes. You just need a new LNB to receive the 4K channels

2) yes

3) yes. I am watching F1 on UHD regularly

4) depends

5) has been stable so far

6) Football does not have HDR IIRC. Only F1 has HDR for now. For HDR content, usually Astro will add a pop up channel specially for the event. For example, while most sports are on channel 780 for UHD, F1 HDR is on channel 781

Correction: Astro SuperSport UHD on channel 806, is considered as an ad-hoc channel, not pop-up channel. biggrin.gif

Ad-hoc channel are usually very short-lived ones, and it will cease as soon as it serves the intended purpose of that temporary channel.
Other examples: Taiwan's GMA live event (CH338), Singapore's Star Awards live event (CH338), SPOTV2 channel (sometimes CH810 or CH809)...

Pop up channel, in Astro's context, is more like they handpick some recycled shows, and then air it repeatedly usually for few weeks to few months on that temporary channel.
The best example today would be Oppa-Mania (CH100).
Other examples: Jackie Chan (CH400), Fam Movies (CH400), Rajini 70 (CH100)...

I just realised, Astro UHD has changed from 780 to 805, making the full transition to be a full sports channel.

It's not that Astro cheat people again... It's just that you lazy to read the promo T&C again... Not just you, I can see that Astro likes to target this type of people out there one....  biggrin.gif
Astro offering live sports, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and HBO Go for RM99.99 sounds too good to be true. And… it is
https://soyacincau.com/2022/07/01/astro-off...true-and-it-is/
To be honest, I like the news article title that Soyacincau uses, especially the "RM99.99 sounds too good to be true. And… it is" part 🤣 Good job, Soyacincau  thumbsup.gif
Read the T&C here:
https://acm-cms-assets.eco.astro.com.my/acm...y-offer-t-c.pdf

Source: https://www.facebook.com/Astro/photos/a.101...159702255694627

TL;DR
Pack Price you pay for 2nd until 7th month Price you pay from 8th month onwards
Premium Pack 1, 2, 3, or Platinum Pack RM99.99 Back to original 24 months contract price
Sports, Entertainment or Movies Pack RM59.99 Back to original 24 months contract price
And only new Astro customer can enjoy this promo. Existing customer, nope.

This promo is meant for who?
In my opinion, Astro finds this promo to be very suitable to target this group of people that are super price sensitive yet lazy to read T&C, and easily make impulsive decisions when they see the title "Enjoy sports+Netflix+Disney+HBO on Astro's _____ pack for only RM99.99 per month!".

And of course, this promo is recommended for those that genuinely interested in subscribing to Astro and bundling OTT apps, and don't have serious financial difficulties smile.gif

Why not downgrade to lower cheaper packs from the 7th month, which the RM99.99 or RM59.99 price promo ends?
Doing so would mean that you may be breaching the 24 months contract, and you'll have to pay hefty penalty later.

That's because you're watching it in HDR. The shadows will appear brighter.

F1 on 806 should be HDR. I presume they were in a rush since it's supposed to be on channel 781 and didn't properly set the HDR

I can confirm that the HDR (HLG) on my TV is automatically turned on when I tune to CH806, but not on CH805.

You didn't connect to any splitter or switcher whatsoever in between HDMI cable connection from Ultra Box to your TV, right?
Are you using the same HDMI cable included in your Ultra Box packaging?
Have you tried power off and on the Ultra Box to see if the HDR activates when tuning to CH806?

Ulti Box? You mean Ultra Box, is it?
Astro didn't provide setting for us to disable or enable HDR when available. Not sure why.
Maybe they feel like there's no need to provide such manual setting to user? hmm.gif

Would feedback to Astro add an option to disable HDR, the HDR color look dull in low range or even in mid range tv model, i rather watch it in SDR.
Perhaps can buy high end model which can produce over 1000 nits brighness laugh.gif

Seems that Cloudflare can randomly block certain device if it deems to be hammering the server. They blocked our company's firewall i this example (apparently too much of my officemates were accessing Astro Go at the same time).

Either try to reset your modem, or wait for a week
