QUOTE(Feliex @ Sep 30 2021, 06:13 PM) Fox Sports 3 was worse. For some reason astro has 5 minutes delay. So 6 minutes delay on Plug and Play?Amazingly Unifi TV didn't have that delay |

QUOTE(weareblahs @ Sep 30 2021, 06:39 PM) If unifi TV got delay, that could be possibly only IPTV encoder issues - that delays some of the programs by 2-3 minutes. Delays occurs more possibly on their unifi Plus Box, as it's not using Multicast, but OTT. I think only Fox Sports 3 had this problem. Astro artificially delayed it for 5 minutes, longer than even on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2. So when watching on UnifiTV, you notice this delay more than any other channel. On the Play@unifi app, Fox Sports 3 was faster, even accounting for the app introduces it's own delayIf unifi TV didn't delay it, then expect no delays on QUOTE(AqFad2811 @ Sep 30 2021, 06:25 PM) likely. since usually advert on Fox Sports are for their own sister channel (Fox, Fox Life, NatGeo), so Astro doesn't need to bother as they are showing the channels tooQUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Sep 30 2021, 06:24 PM) But UNIFI only start SPOTV on 14 October 2021. I'm curious about SPOTV 2 because it is not taken by Astro. If F1 is exclusive to ASTRO SUPERSPORT 5, what contents will be on SPOTV2? Football maybe. There might be some overlapping license for AFC leagues between Astro and SpoTV in this regard. For F1, I think if SpoTV has licensed it, it would already be announcedI am still amazed that we are the only country in this region that has confirmed SpoTV. Indonesia has their own seperate MotoGP license for Free to Air and OTT until end of this year, so I presume they will only add it in 2022 This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Sep 30 2021, 06:58 PM |

Hmm, maybe it's just me, but SpoTV does not look as sharp as Fox Sports was. The image looks much more compressed.

QUOTE(Feliex @ Oct 1 2021, 09:29 AM) The quality same as the Eurosport channel damn Oh really? I blame SpoTV more than Astro on this one, since they are the one providing the source. Supersport 5 looks sharp, as well as Bein Sports, so I don't think Astro did any image manipulation to the received quality from SpoTV |

QUOTE(weareblahs @ Oct 1 2021, 09:38 PM) Meanwhile at the other side (unifi TV), all Celestial channels have different audio tracks used, resulting 1 audio track option appeared on the unifi TV app / HyppTV Box. Also, the subtitles are hardcoded on the screen, with no option to change. Here's the layout they used: All the new channels have hard coded subtitle (including AXN/Arirang/GEM/Animax) It's similar to when they introduced new channels a few years back so they can launch the new channels ASAP. Likely they would implement soft subtitle and more audio options after a few weeks- Celestial Movies (Cantonese audio, Chinese / English subtitles) - CCM (Chinese audio, Malay subtitles) (can download the playtv@unifi app, sign up with your phone number then see it by yourself) doubleM2 liked this post

QUOTE(NewB-MX @ Oct 4 2021, 01:48 AM) Hi. Can someone help with how to VPN to another country to watch Disney+ (Astro subscription)? I tried Spore but could not get into the app. If you mean Hotstar Disney+, then it uses it's own app and not the Disney+ version that Singapore usesThere is a msg saying my country is changed and I have to log out "in order to improve your experience the App will restart" but the same cycle just repeats itself. Thanks! |

Seems that Truvision will be announcing they are picking up the F1 license for Thailand later today Supercars has been added to SpoTV as well ![]() Also I noticed Astro has started to inject it's own adverts in SpoTV, which would exlain that 2 minutes delay. Let's see if this delay is also exist on Unifi TV later this month This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Oct 5 2021, 11:32 AM |

QUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Oct 7 2021, 02:23 PM) Eleven Sports will launch its own sports streaming service in Southeast Asia - http://www.insideworldfootball.com/2021/10...sian-expansion/ "complemented by local linear distribution deals"Aka you might see Pay-TV pick up some matches, like Astro would likely be picking up Malaysian matches |
