I just installed mine today for the multi-room and yeah it can choose IPTV or satellite. However, IPTV is losing out some channels if I'm not mistaken.
I chose satellite for now but if raining or what, it will switch to IPTV, so it works well for me.

How do I get the UHD channel working on my TV? Mine is Sony X80J which should be supported. Coincidentally, today our condo upgraded our infra to support UHD. However, when I turned on 805 it’s black screen. Any idea how to get it done? Already using ultrabox.

Just black screen when I was using "Universal". After switching to DCSS, it managed to get everything running on 805. However, it stopped working after a while and SCNA error appeared.
Finally, the supplier for our building came to my house yesterday to inspect, it was solved after he reinserted the cable again. Nevertheless, he did mention to my MO rep (he was also present) that this may not work on long term as the signal from my house to the riser is too strong. He suggested to make a direct connection from my house to the riser, they will need to change the port. Too technical for me to understand actually, not sure if I get the details correctly. Coincidentally, after the visit I left my KL house and came back to hometown last evening. I will test it extensively when I'm back again after the GE15. Most likely, I will need to change the port as per what the supplier suggested.

The Astro agent told me I need to pay RM 199 for ultrabox for multi-room. My bill just came and it’s only RM 99. hmm.gif

It seems to me that the Multiroom box of yours, is tagged under Plug & Play in their billing system, that's why you're being charged as RM99?

To be fair, I’m still watching Astro mainly for live sport events, channel 306 and 310. laugh.gif I’m still not that old yet. laugh.gif

I appreciate the live sport channels.

My existing contract will end around end October. I bundled the Platinum Pack with Netflix Premium to enjoy the rebates for 24 months. Will Astro continue giving discounts if we intend to downgrade our package? laugh.gif

I will downgrade if no discount is given and shift my Netflix to a standalone subscription.

If I downgrade my package later after Oct, will this also extend my contract? Like downgrade + another 24 months?

If you don't mind, maybe could you share a screenshot of that section of your bill here? About the RM10 rebate one...

Even if you would to downgrade (make sure to contact Astro within 30 days before contract end date), you still have to choose on which package you want to go to.
From there, you can choose whether you want 24/12/0 month contract.

I don't recall any retention thing, I changed to Platinum also because I wanted to add a multi-room decoder and they forced me to change from the old Super Pack to Platinum.

I registered it through a third-party agent. She changed the package for me and added a multi-room Ultrabox for me, we only communicated via WhatsApp.
I doubt she triggered the discount, it must be some discounts given by Astro at that time, but too bad I cannot recall anymore.

How to determine Premium? I'm a Platinum pack user, the highest tier plan.
I don't usually use it because I have no time to watch, my sister uses it all the time. She changed to a new phone yesterday and wanted to log in but not able anymore.

In short, I have no hope to fight for this war. Come Oct once my contract ends, I will downgrade my package and subscribe to Netflix Premium standalone like I used to be. I'm so done with them man.
