I'm not exactly sure that this is the correct place to post this, but my PS4 suddenly gave out and stopped working, I was watching netflix and turned it off for a couple of hours then decided to watch a couple more episodes of my show, however when I turned it on again my TV showed "No signal".

Since then I tried disconnecting and leaving it overnight (I read a couple of posts in other forums that this works hmm.gif ) I also tried a different HDMI cables, then both these cables I used on my computer and it connected to the TV just fine, I tried removing the HDD all to no avail, I have also attempted safe mode but it just turns off after 2 beeps that happen after I hold the power button for 7-8 seconds.

So I have accepted the fact this is something I cant' fix at home, but the problem is I don't know where to take it, my friend says that Sony centres in Malaysia won't take it cause I bought it during my stay in Saudi Arabia, so what do you guys think I should do?

If you don't have a ps4pro, now might be the time to get it.
If this is the pro, then might want to get another one.

Seriously though, just Google console repair. There are a few in KL.
But it might cost more than half the console to repair it.

Yeah the problem is that I've been keeping this one on a somewhat older firmware (5.00) in hopes of maybe being able to jailbreak or something.
I doubt I can find another one with similar firmware. Do you have experience with this issue and how much it costs to repair? Like any estimation or what have you. I might end up buying a new one if the price is too high.

Don’t think anyone can give an estimate. Best to head there and have them check it.
Could be Rm100. Could be Rm600.
I had a stick on my vita replaced for Rm160.

I doubt there will be any successful jailbreak for 5.00 anytime soon though. Even if there is, there is a risk of your psn/console getting banned. This means all purchase tied to accounts logged onto your PS4 being removed.

I forgot to ask, what about the official Sony centres? If I were to go to them to get a diagnosis on the issue would that work? Cause according to what I heard they would not service my console due it being from a foreign country.

I don't think they'll service your model.
It's stated on their website that it's for Malaysia model only.
