Indiegogo = kickstarter?

Well i ordered one from kickstarter but i never got tax, as the parcel never arrived since the company did not honor our orders, but they were able to sell in supermarkets

Screw them

I purchased a tablet from IG last time. Nothing happened and the item arrived safely.

Funnily, paying GST or not is a gamble. At times you kena, at times you don't.

If you see it held/ confiscated at Customs, then you have to pay.

Just to confirm, can anyone of you buy things from indiegogo with Cimb cards?

Have
-Online purchase activated
-Transaction Limit increased
-Have more than enough money in card

Yet it shows me Error! Your transaction failed.
Please contact your bank.

Depend on your luck I think. I funded a backpack off from Indiegogo before, total damage USD 329.00. Huge box with the bag and accessories inside. Never got charged by customs because the seller under declare the value of the goods or deem them as "gifts".

If you're using credit card but your transaction is denied, you need to contact indiegogo support to check your account. Last time I cancel on a project that I backed and requested a refund, they automatically black listed my account as high risk.

apasal black list?

the item i need to get from indiegogo, they already stated cannot label the wallet as 'gift' as this violates regulation.
so i assume they will label whatever category that 'wallet' falls in and might be taxed, which i need to know roughly how much to set expectation.

They just said my account was automatically flagged as "high risk" previously because I have cancelled and requested for refunds a couple of times within a short period of time.

Kastam got bigger fish to fry than to charge taxes on every little thing that comes through; they'd want to go for bigger, more expensive items.

I haven't pledged on Indiegogo before (only Kickstarter, but also smallish items), but never kena taxed. And I've bought stuff from US before, tak pernah kena. *touch wood*

TL;DR - see your luck; if kena, then shut up and pay, if not then good for you lor.

Yes, my transaction also failed. So disappointing. Any solution?
