Is it just me or this particular forum is turning into some advertising/spamming forum. It makes no sense for me to report them since there are so many people are doing it now.
About the advertising, it is in terms of sellers asking people to buy from them. I mean, surely it is allowed to a certain extent, but when people are asking opinions about laptops, some sellers comes and say " this one not bad, buy from me, i give you discount.' or something of the equivalent. It's rather annoying when you want opinions of laptops but you do not want to buy it.
As to the spamming issue, again, it gets annoying when you are going through some information and out of the blue comes "........haha, I'm spamming" or something of this sort. More often than not, you see discussions going way beyond what was supposed to be the topic ( I suppose this is allowed to a certain extent)
I've notice this happening for the past month or so and on some threads only. Surely by posting this, I'm somewhat questioning the moderator's authority but I feel that if the 'PDA & Mobile Computing' forum is to remain a place to discuss problems and tips on purchasing stuff of the like, the other unrelated aspects should be toned down and you moderators and admins have the power to do so.

Alternatively, you could personally PM any one of the 3 staff/moderators of that subforum. Shinigami, SonyClie77 and Prasys. Give them a few examples to illustrate your point (ie links).

QUOTE(vikingw2k @ May 15 2007, 01:58 PM) Have you ever hit the button before typing all these? I admit I haven't doing so. What should I do then? click on the Report! button 3 - 4 times day reporting of spam? It's not only one person that is somewhat spamming and I know the report button is there for a reason. But using that so frequently, wouldn't i risk being warned myself for having being overly 'gatal' ? To altie, I never thought above that, thanks for pointing that up. resistance is futile

If it is something against the rules, you can report it as many times as possible (you can't report multiple times on the same offense as the button gets locked if someone else has already reported it in)
We do need your help and eyes to help keep the threads clean. Rest assured warnings and suspensions will be handed out to any members found pimping or promoting their products outside the trade zone.

I don't get warned for submitting 30-40 reports per day last time.

Alright alright, I get it now. Thanks for the advise. I'll keep my eyes wide, and report stuff that is against the rule. Cheers.
