Having a bad case of hemorrhoids now. Constipation 3 days suddenly all came out, causing huge piles to develop. Will be back to malaysia tomorrow. big ones, difficult to push it back in. Which hospital should I go to? Are there any latest surgery like THD offered in Malaysia?

I'm in pain now 😥

In china. Waiting for my flight in few more hours. No bleed, just very big piles, enough to cause pain and discomfort.

pooped blood for 6 months before my hemmaroids and piles got better.
Went for banding 3x took some medicine and drank super alot of water with high fibre diet.
Stool softeners like lactulose help ease your pooping journey but i havent heard of THD before tho so cant help much there. pooping blood sucks. hope you get better soon

For piles discomfort there are some ointments you can get from pharmacy to accelerate the healing + reduce the discomfort

Tried banding years ago at sjmc. The band fell off the first day. Wasted few hundred bucks. So I boycott sjmc for piles. Any other recommendations?

mine was mainly because of lack of water intake. then more prone to constipation.
After banding still will bleed for a while but should recover in about 1 week with alot of water+ daily stool softener. Then once u stop the stool softener u gotta eat more veggies+ drink alot of water also if not sure kena constipation again. i did in serdang hospital(public) RM10-40 per visit only but u gotta get referral from public clinic then the queue & wait is very long.

go get a cream from airport pharmacy for hemmaroids first to relieve the sting. + stool softener so that your next toilet time is easier.
Suppository also will make you feel much better if the cuts are deeper in

My band also fell off the next day. So any time (touch wood) I would have hemorrhoid again, I won't take up banding again.

I'm very careful now with diet, avoid foods that gives me constipation such as bananas. force myself to eat vegetables daily. most importantly, no phones in toilet sweat.gif

Ripe avocado, friend. Blend it with cool water and drink it (or add some honey). It has plenty of fibers and natural oil, it never fails me. nod.gif

Depends on season. If got too much stock, will be cheaper. I just bought from Aeon RM3.50 per pc. When in season, Tesco or Giant sells for RM2 something only.

Any suggestion to which hospital and doctor to have haemorrhoid surgery in Melaka? I have combined haemorrhoids for so many years. They are prolapsed and bleeding. I am looking less invasive surgery options. Thank you.

warded early morning
given something in the anus to induce purging
after few minutes or so, all come out
then pushed to operating room
after maybe 1 or 2 hours nurse woke me up
feeling damn nauseous because of anesthesia drugs effects
was given light plain meals for few days (maybe 3 or 4 days, I don't remember)
after release from hospital, recovery about a week

cost about rm7-8k
I think about 2 or 3 nights in ward
then 1 week plus at home
healing process basically painkillers, fibre drink, soft food, sitting down in bucket of salt + warm water daily few times

How long is the healing process? 1 week? Do you have any complication right now? BTW, your piles is 3rd degree or 2nd?

Hi, I did my stapled surgery around 4 months ago. Minor to almost no pain during first 2 days but having difficulty in bowel movement around the 3rd week. 4th week back to normal. Mine was 3rd degree hemorrhoid so still got residues remaining and it will get swollen if push to hard during bowel movement. Overall, it's better after surgery and must take care of diet. No spicy food, more fiber and drink lots of water. I also try to avoid sitting on hard surface for prolong period.

Now got laser haemorrhoidectomy. (Google it, look it up on YouTube, etc)

Did it last December. Was covered by personal insurance (but check with your agents first); if employer insurance need GP referral letter.

Spent a couple nights in the hospital - one night to prepare for the colonoscopy (the stuff they make you drink for you to purge was the worst) if you haven't already done it, the next night for post-procedure observation. Doctor gave a couple weeks MC after that, some follow up appointments...

Except for the deductible and a few other items, everything else was covered.

Total bill was like RM19K-ish.

Few days immediately after was a literal PITA, but as long as you follow what the doctor and pharmacy people tell you, should be ok. Was prescribed painkiller+anti-inflammatories, ointment, spray.. a load of meds la.

My follow up appointments also was cashless, but I got lucky in that it was before AIA had some new rule about having to pay and claim for that too, so.. check with your insurance agents and/or your policies.

TBH, the worst part of the whole thing for me was the staying up the whole night before the procedure to purge for the colonoscopy. Was so sleep deprived, I conked out and woke up to find the colonoscopy was over and they were prepping me for the actual procedure.

Look for a sitz bath tub and/or kit, they're available in like BIG Pharmacy (not Guardian or Watsons lol, those other ones), etc. I got one with my admission, so I didn't need to buy (covered by insurance, hehe). But they're not that expensive if you want to get your own, they're under RM20 each.

Salt... any salt also can. Cheap salt la, no need pink Himalayan one LOL

But gonna need a lot of it.

The sitz bath is ok for reducing the pain and all, but not for reducing them, if that's what you're asking..
