i noticed if i saturate the write speed of my kingston ssd a400 and together with high swap file, even desktop environment will stutter. doesn't happen with my sandisk ssd plus eventhough the kingston is slightly faster in benchmark.
this is on windows 7. my guess is the ssd controller is crap. from reviews it achieves the faster speed via on the fly compression. i've since put the kingston on my laptop with win10. it doesn't get crazy workload, so i haven't seen the problem. needed a fresh install because even if i clonezilla it won't boot because of hardware change or secureboot. reeeeeeeee. done bloggan. |
