My vote goes for Berbatov, followed closely behind by Carrick. Both have played a vital role in their respective clubs' league run and are worth every penny spent

i can't deny tevez is a good buy, but he only found his form towards the end of the season...for the whole season, my vote goes to berbatov...he's good at freekicks, he's good in holding the ball, he's good in assisting keano and he has got plenty of skills to offer on the touchline...to me, no doubt, he's marvellous!!!

Not only that mate, if you compare goal ratios, McCarthy comes up tops.

Berbatov : 33 Games - 12 Goals (0.36 goals per game)
McCarthy : 36 Games - 18 Goals (0.50 goals per game)

The South African has indeed been a revelation. While Berbatov had the likes of Defoe and Keane paired with him, McCarthy's only notable partner was Shabani Nonda. In some games, he played as the lone striker.

McCarthy has got more goals than Berbatov so arguably, he should be at the top. Blackburn looked a little blunt up-front after Bellamy left but McCarthy has more than filled that void.

Don't know much about this bloke Samba though.

Obafemi Martins was a good acquisition and got some important goals for Newcastle though it's arguable if he's better than any of the 10 mentioned.

mccarthy is like the only striker scoring for blackburn
berbatov got keane beside him
berbatov also got higher no of assist IIANM
summore berbatov injured for a while during this season

All of McCarthy's goals are simple tap in and open goals...he just stay in front of the goal, wait for warnock and bentley to provide the cross then job done...berbatov is a bit different, creating play for his teamates and he can score himself...and his club is 5 rungs higher than blackburn rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Well it's difficult to give out any assists when you don't have a strike partner most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I've always though Berbatov was a top player since seeing him play against us for Bayer Leverkusen.

I'd thought Berbatov as well, as Spurs really need an out-and-out striker for a long time, and looks like they've finally got him now. pity Chelsea couldn't get that from Sheva, I'd think all top teams need a good goal poacher every now and then. Man U with Nistelrooy then, Liverpool with Owen/Fowler, Arsenal with Henry, etc.

Benni M deserves a mention as well for his goals for Rovers, while Tevez also proved his worth for the Hammers for the last few months.

Nistelrooy also plays the same way. Important thing is one chance, one goal.

yeah, i can see him everywhere inside of the penalty box. just waiting his chance to tap in/heading/volley the rebound. i guess he is one of the top 10 La Liga buys diz season.

Nistelrooy is the man! He did well in Madrid and a player who like to hang around the penalty box with his great heading and finishing skill. happy.gif
