Hey guys, normally did u all finished tap 50 transactions per month?
For me, I think the most convinient way is to tap phone thru PHB petrol terminal bcoz no need facing those cashier..
But the only thing I concern is tap phone thru petro station terminal is it legal or not...as i know phone is not allow to use over there...
*
Out of topic a bit... But are there any proven evidence that using mobile phone can cause hazard in petrol pump, tho?
Read a lot of 'myths'..
Not that I condone using one at petrol stations, just that I never found any concrete article on this matter...
I personally DON'T use mine... except sometimes for SPay use (and even then now I don't really like to tap on terminal... due to the RM200 hold by bank...)

Last Sunday I tried to pay using Samsung Pay...
Coz I saw the terminal got Wave icon..
But when tried to pay, the person said "Wave not working" (already tried... doesnt work)
I want to try MST, so put the phone on the side.. but nothing happens.
I saw the screen said "Tap or Insert" on standby.
Ended up shoving my card inside the terminal, and it registers (the person there put the amount, and I put my PIN)
(It's the independant-type terminal.. not hooked to cash register / computer).

Not sure if they sorta disable the MST or what...

I think your case is missing click F2 then Sales then key in amount to activate MST by the cashier.
*
Ah.. i remember reading it a few pages back.. but forgot to do that at the shop XD

For now.. I only used MST at most Petronas and a supermarket around my area (one of the cashier terminal doesn't have Wave, so must use MST)
Petronas, doesn't need signature, but the supermarket one, they need mine (There's the signature part on the receipt)

Tapped on the side of MCD terminal to try whether MST is working like many reported here, it got approved and printed receipt but the cashier somehow asked to tap again despite I received success notification from Samsung Pay. After that manager came out and asked to sign on the receipt but later check back again, cancelled is shown above the amount hmm.gif

I've got 'cancelled' transaction 3 times..
Twice at mcdonald, and one at Mr DIY
Both using Wave not MST...

And yesterday when I tap at MCD... there's beep at the terminal, but the timer at my phone still counting down...
Waited about a minute, nothing happens (no receipt)..
So the cashier redone the transation, tap again, and it goes thru...

Since u mentioned about the timer, it always still counting down despite beep or without beep but Receiving at the terminal for me. Is it because no active or poor Internet connection that delay the countdown on phone?
*
I dont think it has to do with the phone internet connection.. coz SPay will work even without an Internet connection...

I don't have wave limit issue with cimb prepaid. Not once do I need to reset since using it for almost 6 months. I've never made tens of waves in a day though, but for my usual usage, it's much easier using this card compared to others with wave limits.
*
I thought both CIMB Debit and Prepaid (I'm using Lazada Prepaid) got Rm1000 wave limit/day..?
I confirmed with CS 2-3 times last year...

It is a very nice power bank actually.  Quick charging, high quality cables and casing.

Can easily earn back the cost of going there if you are in Klang Valley should you be interested to sell it
*
Thanks... later gonna pickup when free..

I seldomly use Power Bank ... So, probably gonna sell it

paywave is always 1000 limit. Difference is you need to key in pin. Did you key in pin?
*
I remember the RM250 daily limit back then...
Accidentally when over limit when first use Samsung Pay last year..
I've changed to CIMB Lazada Prepaid card since the CS at that time inform the paywave limit for that card is RM1000 daily...

And yeah... Each >RM250 purchase will trigger PIN.

Confirm limit is not rm250

Max I use close to 1k maybank card and I was able to hit 50 transaction in a day during Samsung double rewards point

I THINK the total paywave limit is RM1000/daily (tap & pay + tap & pin)
But the total limit for Tap & Pay is RM250/daily.
You can use Tap & Pin for amount larger than that...

Samsung Pay and Petronas have been partnering since last year.
They should aware of it.
*
I remember the early days (last year) when I use SPay..
Petronas and BHP are listed as SPay-friendly station on SPay website..
But most of the station that I went don't want to accept / don't know about SPay..
Petronas still uses the side-tap machine.. not paywave..

Heck.. even now two of the nearest Petronas station around my area don't accept SPay whistling.gif

Sometimes its communication problem.  You need convince let you try when other work mate sees it they will know and understand.  If u ask sure they say no because they dont even understand

They think credit card machine  = where card? Da best is when u say Samsung pay. I always say visa
*
I've tried..
A couple of stations let me teach them how to use SPay on the machine...
But some of them straightly rejects SPay...
Saying it'll crash/messed up the the system or something

Never tap twice at 99..
But at Petronas, they need to tap twice..
Tap, fill, and tap again to finalize

First time...
Went to BHP, use the counter terminal for SPay, 2 times, failed...
(Used the machine before, and most of the time it'll fail... i donno why)
Try inside first, don't want RM200 deduction XD
But then, I retry by tapping on the side, but this time, it asked for my Security Code.
Not sure if it ask for CVV or PIN. But I put my CVV and the transaction went through...
