It's a point-and-click that can be better described as a visual novel than an actual game.

The story is told from the perspective of Queen Meve of Lyria and Rivia, during the Second Nilfgaardian invasion. It's a retelling of the story from the books, but while the books focus on Geralt, this will be about Meve and her struggles. Geralt does a Stan Lee near the end, but that's it. In my opinion, the story, the narration and the voice acting are wonderfully done. As a game though, it's mediocre. You're hardly ever pressed for gold, even if they keep saying you need lots of money to raise an army in the game. You can also dump a few hundred points onto the board with certain combos, so battles kind of turn into a farce. CDPR did say that they will address the difficulty of the game in an upcoming patch, so hopefully it will turn out better.

Pretty competitive market tbh. Many games out there that died not because they're bad, but simply because they can't pull in enough players
