Game Critic Totalbiscuit Dies At 33

After retiring from games criticism at the start of the month, YouTube personality John “Totalbiscuit” Bain has passed away.

Bain’s wife, Genna, posted about his passing on Twitter.

“Rest in Peace my Dearest Love,” she wrote.

Bain, who was 33, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2014. It went into remission, only to return last year and spread to his liver and spine. Earlier this month, he announced his retirement from games criticism, saying that chemotherapy was no longer working and his liver was failing. He said he planned to continue streaming and video-making, but in the form of co-op gameplay with his wife in hopes that she’d take over his channel when he was gone.

“I fully expect The Co-optional Podcast to go on and I love the thought that once I’m gone, the channels will go on in my absence, hosted by the person who knows me best and has been with me for the better part of my adult life,” he said.

“It’s been a privilege,” he added. “Thank you all for letting me into your life and do something so important as to have an impact on how you spend your hard-earned money.”

RIP TB It was awesome while it lasted.

Think it is due to different group of users who 'fought' the most. E.g. your special group of users performed/played more compared to other groups. Usually the common Steam group will win since most of us are in it.

Anyone found/have/bought any particular good indie/hidden games to share? I dug the Reddit thread (hidden gems) and nothing much yet.

Good in your own opinion is fine, bad is even better so that people like me can take note I dig all kinds of games so it is refreshing to have any recommendations (if any).

Any time is fine, the summer cards pricing didn't really change much based on the few days that I monitored. I am just chucking them out whenever I have extra.

*Won nothing so far but kinda expected based on Valve's customer base + duplicate accounts.

I wouldn't even mind it if the games are done better but most of them are just some crappy Flash-type or copy-pasta porn game. Searching for a good indie game at low cost is a lot difficult nowadays, too many crap games being churned out and priced miserably low.

I donate you one Steam trading card Hope they don't start this tax nonsense in SG.

Not entirely sure on how Steam checks this but I previously saved my SG card to my MY Steam account. Thus whenever I reload my Steam wallet, I was able to reload RM into it even though I am in SG. Pricing of the games in your Steam store ties to the specific country that your Steam is registered to, thus RM is shown to me even when I am overseas.

However recently with my SG credit card expiring, I was forced to update and it was a hassle as Steam checks my current location (SG) when I was trying to save my card details. Need to come back to M'sia and do this again with a MY credit card instead =(

Anyone have any comments to get which one? Disco Elysium or Octopath or War for the Overworld?

I read and know all three games adequately, just can't make up my mind on which, especially Overworld and its DLC.
