try restart steam

Is not about friend notification, is those group and channel that keep pop out about giveaway/free game/free credit/.........bundle...

leave those group, you join until 607 of them

try put busy mode and see if still got notification, worse case leave all your group that popup notification.

can't logout chat anymore, really a step backward. so rolled back to non Beta.

or try adding "-nofriendsui" to your Steam shortcut.

last time join so many group because of those giveaway lah.
Then join join join, forget leave.

Under chat gui, the setting allow you to turn off notification...

click on the gear icon top right hand corner on your friend list

on the general section turn off "remember my open chats"

try when you start steam, close friend list, close steam then restart back steam

so we will see more and more rubbish/scam games come out from this kind of developer which earn money not from game but from items and cards trading plus using customer PC to mine crypto?

I feel that seem that steam earn so much money, they should put a team invest all the game that they gonna release and see whether got problem or not before release to end user. This especially to those indie developer.
Those famous AAA developer I don't think they dare to do this kind of things because once people find out, they gonna sue by people until bankrupt.
Only those indie got chance to do this kind of things. The price of the game should not cheaper than the card and item that they gonna sell. Steam don't put much effort on that because they also earn a lot of card and item trading. Which almost 0 cost for developer and them to come out those card and item and gain profit.

Steam sells that cheaper.. maybe can get around RM30+ during Summer or Winter sales. Don't rush with Tomb Raider they will slash the price a lot later.. same with Batman Arkham series.
