In a way it's a healthy competition, other companies competing with each other to get more developers to join their platform, at some point Steam also might give more money to the devs, which could also prompt other devs to release on Steam as well.

What's so hard to get about them just releasing on Epic game store? They can maximize profit in a way, and it's sickening to know that Valve is taking a lot of the portion of the devs money for themselves. Epic is changing that and taking less, and giving more to the devs.

I might install Epic Game launcher at some point.
The good thing about it so far is you get 2 free games each month.
That's like 24 free games every year, not bad at all.

They promise 1 free game every 15 days still, so that's good.
And at some point people might actually use it because some might be desperate to play the game they love which is exclusive to the store at some point

I use debit, seems to work just fine for me. No decline. I pay direct with just inserting the number. Steam sale, Twitch sub, Nintendo eShop, PSN, humble bundle and etc seems to work just fine for me. Some times if decline, could be during maintenance hours. The only site that doesn't work with debit for me is Amazon most of the time, US or JP amazon both doesn't work, but the rest seems to work fine on my end.

Mine is the normal atm debit card btw with overseas payment enabled, not kwik.

When is this starting to happen btw? I tried Twitch sub few days ago just fine. First day of Lunar new year sale on Steam also works just fine. Pretty dumb if they just decline, but probably have to do with their cimbclick issue I think. Hackers, phisher and etc, lots of reports about that a month or two ago.

Epic getting worse really. Trying to be the hero konon.. why being the real villain to the consumer.

I was ok with EGS at first, but looking at how things developed it really isn't ok. Their store has little to no features, no regional pricing for us and a lot more. Boleh la they put lower cut for dev. I read a lot and experts says it's not sustainable at all in the long run. The 30% cut is also in other stores like App Store, Google Play and others too, so it's a standard.

Epic is just pointing out Steam like they are the bad guys when in reality most store takes the 30% commission rate for many reasons. Also the dick move of everything being exclusive to EGS is a big issue for consumers. Valve doesn't even care much and still wants all games to be available in other stores.

So yeah the way I see it l, it's clear who is the anti-consumer here
