My landlord insists no refund even if bills are completely paid. yes need to pay all. the utility deposit will probably be set off against the rental for the unexpired term. 3. What if the landlord chooses not to rent out the unit and claims rental from me every month? basically if the rental for unexpired term is 40k, he will deduct the security deposit (eg 10k) and utility deposit (5k) so balance u need to pay landlord is rm25k during the unexpired term. if he rents out the unit, you can argue that u only need to pay for the months left vacant due to you terminating the agreement. |
