Yes. 44 seater is a double decker bus. Most buses to Kelantan are double decker. Transnasional has those single deck. I rode on the double decker bus to Kota Bharu with Mutiara and Perdana and it is comfortable. The seat arrangement is 2+1 so the seats are wider. Make sure you don't pick the back seats and choose single seat. Buy tickets early since going on a school holiday.

My over night bus ride from KL to Kota Bharu is my so far worst bus experience in Malaysia (topped by two in Thailand)
I would absolutely fly if it was by any means possible. If I really had to take a bus I would take a daytime bus.

My main objection is that I could not sleep at all. Too bad road and or driver. Constant turning, accelleration, breaking.
And was also abit worried if I would arrive in Kota Bharu in a bus or to some hospital in an ambulance.

Less scary than the minibus ride to Bangkok at 180 km/h
Less uncomfortable than the overloaded bus of vomit and suffocation to Chumpon.

But a clear second to both my worst experiences.

Hope you are more lucky than me.
