Original plan to spend RM549 on a new Ikea Markus chair.

Went and check if used chairs would be better. So i found these 2.



Top picture is Diethelm high back (locally made). Can adjust seat forward, backward, head rest, lumbar, height adjustable arm rest. Price is RM 680.

Another one is Bristol high back (imported). Looks about the same as Diethelm. But no lumbar adjustability & has cushioned headrest. Price RM800.

Which of this is good? OR should i just but the Ikea Markus only has seat height and lead adjustment only. But you can lounge in the Markus more because it has wide head rest.

The dilemma here is a 50K used BMW and a 50K new Myvi.

Which would you guys choose?

I was expecting this price also. But was kind of taken back at what was offered. I haven't nego with them yet. I did not expect the chairs was "branded" anyway.

That bristol had a head rest. I dunno if that contributed to the price or not.

They guy said all chairs will be cleaned if you confirm buying it. The chairs on display there are not cleaned yet thats for sure. The bangla there also say they will send to a car wash nearby to wash. The Diethelm is much more heavier and looks less worn than the Bristol that cost much more. The most i can tell them to save that cost, i do it myself. That way i can clean it more effectively. Both the seats are still firm and not sagged or anything. Can't even see dust crept in the hidden areas except the outer parts.

Looking at the the Ikea Markus with fabric seat and mesh back one.
