If you need more space, honda city. If not myvi. Pricing-wise myvi is cheaper and the drive is quite nice too

QUOTE(HyeMoon @ Apr 17 2018, 03:09 PM) For long term wise and maintenance? its myvi with toyota vios engine. so of cos the maintenance would be cheaper for long term. spare parts etc would be easier to find too. but for honda city, normally the price for spare parts might cost lil bit than local cars. i would choose myvi over city if i dont need the boot space.

QUOTE(HyeMoon @ Apr 17 2018, 03:09 PM) For long term wise and maintenance? Myvi has a toyota vios engine, my friend says its so far so good. City can be quite expensive to maintain at times. Changing brake pads itself, is about 500+ excluding labor, every time i service, sure the bill is around 500+ even once every alternate service is free labor charge. Fuel consumption is around 15km/l city driving. I think Myvi can easy manage that.

In terms of car dimension, under different car segment, safety tech and gadgets, go to get Honda City over Myvi anytime if you have enuff budget on Honda City regardless of what toyota engine bla bla bla. No need to think twice. By the way, I used to be a Myvi user before for 10 years ago. This post has been edited by lazbuy85: Apr 17 2018, 04:04 PM

How to compare a papaya to a banana ? one is abt 50k & another is abt 70+ k If I am TS & care for safety, buy a car with REINFORCED STEEL & minimum 4 Star Asean NCAP rating. Perodua & Honda & Toyota are short-changing users of today........

Why not compare Vios with City? Why Myvi and City?
Not sure what’s the current offer on City but a friend of mine got a Vios G for 77K. I was surprised Toyota willing to equip ESC and CVT plus RM2k service coupon and yet sell it below 80k.
3years ago when I was looking for a new car, there wasn’t anything like that on the market. City was out of budget and Toyota safety features were lacking. So instead I bought a full spec Rio for 72K.

Not enough info given by TS.
Long term maintenance of course Myvi is going to be cheaper, because you are already paying so much less for the car in the first place.

I didn't know on the airbags quantity. I thought they improved to 4 already but looks like I was mistaken. Yeah, the airbag count will be disappointing if it remained at 2.
