The Samsung Dex quite nice, but couldn't find the Dex dock at local Samsung store at my area.

Anyone have try it before? Was looking the local store that sell the dock or the 3rd party adapter that can use Samsung Dex

yup.. i been thinking wanna buy or not but worry if its gonna spoil the battery health  hmm.gif

if not mistaken, got 3 type rite?
2 officially from samsung which is the dock style
another one is type c extension, saw from utube
*
Yep. One is the Dex Station (the old one with Ethernet port); & the latest Dex Pad (the slimmer one w/o Ethernet port)
Got the other type c extension that run Samsung Dex but hard to find, certain model can run it.

I have try with my Apacer Type C extension but cant run Samsung Dex; only mirroring display can use.

Hello guys. I need some help.

I own Samsung S9+ for almost 3 month. Lately my phone screen display showing "tint" on the top and the left corner of my display (the red rectangle from the picture attach, u can see the white part and the yellowish part).
I google it & from what I read is it was a burn-in display (which happen to Samsung AMOLED display), it seems permanent to the display. My phone never having serious drop or never put into water, I really care all my stuff. Note also, I don't use my phone for gaming.

Should I ask for repair or ask for replacement. Need help. sad.gif

weird shape, usually its games that burn in, any application that you use very frequently? for hours straight
*
I don't run games with my phone (since I'm more to pc). Just use it as my 3rd camera for photo shooting.
Other than that, just using it for Youtube or playing videos (which I'm using USB-C for clone display & run it in full screen) & Whats-App.

They will replace your screen not your phone.
*
I see. Just asking how long the time they will take to replace it?
From what I read for Samsung official web, they already fix the "burn-in issues" that happen from S8 for their upcoming S9 series.

Mention youtube, high brightness when youtube-ing not in full screen, uae old version youtube with small player on button?
*
I just use auto brightness from the phone itself. Since I have USB-C connector display, I just plug it in and run full screen (cloning display with my secondaries monitor).
I'm using the latest Youtube ver. anyway.

Thanks for advice guys. It's been many years I'm upgrade my phone. I'm often to upgrade my PC, but the phone not so much.
My last phone before I jump to this phone was Docomo F-020, so try to catch the progress with smartphones

Was sending my S9+ to Samsung ASC yesterday to fix my phone screen.
Got my phone back today safe and sound (actually they send my the notice since yesterday to pick it up, didn't expect it fast since the cs told me to pick it by tomorrow).

The cs told me that they have to replace my screen together with the battery as well. I didn't know that they have to replace both since I though it just my screen was defect.

Anyway, thanks for the help everyone.

Already update my S9+ to Android Pie.

So far from my view:
- More easy access on setting, friendly user. Got night mode feature which is great
- U can now running Samsung DEX desktop even without using original Samsung DEX dock or cable. 3rd party is fine, so if looking for USB-C display connector, make sure look for those that have extra USB port as well. Similar to my Huawei P20. Get the wireless keyboard+mouse (2in1) for better setup.

- Somehow after the update, my phone battery drain more faster, probably hidden program that still running without trace such as Bixby or sync.
- Better camera menu but those selfie "beauty" thing a bit over compose.
- Icon menu looks aren't great. Prefer old one version.
- Those Bixby really annoying to kill. Luckily Samsung provide the off button on display menu, but still can be activate if u press 3 times.

Oh, really appreciate your guidance...  rclxms.gif   thumbup.gif   notworthy.gif

The night mode you mention, is referring to camera night mode or night mode theme?

Mind to share where did you bought the extra port USB-C and how much is the damage?

I bough from our local PC shop around RM93 (brand Apacer USB 3.1 Type-C).
Similar like this (from ookas):
