Have no idea why the note 9 price dropped so drastically just after a few months of release. Even the s9 series prices tanked longer than that.

Really curious as to how those online sellers manage to sell at that pricing.

During 1111 sales after discounts you could get it for a mere rm2.3k, I was hesitant as I think this year's exynos cpu isn't as good as previous years. Battery life isn't as good compared to snapdragon variant.
*
S9 launched early on the cycle while note is late cycle so price cuts are necessary to get the Q4 holiday sales before next CPU launch. Of course there"s the competition from the late cycle China phone launches.

Is it fixed? Youre on exynos right?

I don't think this is a problem with the firmware itself. I've been using it since Oreo and now Pie, the battery usage has been fairly uniform across both platforms.

For me I keep it on medium power saving, remove application optimization for messaging, email and some social media apps like Gmail, whatsapp, instagram etc so I still receive notifications.

I usually charge up to around 90% and when I get up 7 hours later at most it only drops 2%. Never more than that since the first day. For it to drop so much, something must be running in the background constantly or the battery has degraded to a state where it is no longer holding its full charge.

i've also not updated yet due to issue with fingerprint authentication for banking apps.

any other major compatibility issues that was not previously present in Android 8.0?
*
Thanks for the feedback. Bit the bullet and updated already.

So far the main annoyance is kenot natively disable bixby button and that fugly album on the gallery app.

Battery become hot even when only mild usage like normal browse net. It wont even last me until after work. Something seems to keep running at the background as the battery is constantly slightly warm though out the day.
*
I think that's a sign of battery bloating rather than power saving mode.

Got a curious problem here. I can't post nor edit using either chrome or Samsung browser. Clear cache then can post just once. Second time cannot again. On wifi no problem. Any ideas?

Rhinoshield solidsuit on my S9 since day 1. Mine is the carbon back.

I have the same. Good case, only issue us is the sides gets slippery. I've move to patchwork mono grip. The sides are rounder for more comfortable grip and the material are non slip

Yea bro. Side kindda slippery.

Yours is this mono grip?

[attachmentid=10227832]

Yup.

I've gone through a number of case for my S9+ and my 2 cents.

Spigen rugged armor - Used rugged armor for the past few phones but for S9+, it may lift some tempered glass. Also I'm doubtful of the protection since I've dropped my phone below waist height onto tarmac and there's a small chip on my phone's corner where the case should be the strongest. And as with every other rugged armor, the case wears down and look fugly after a while

Spigen rugged armor urban - Haven't dropped before and is cut differently from the rugged armor so most tempered glass fits. However I'm scared that the material won't protect the glass back since its the same as the urban armor.

Ringke Fusion - I bought 2 since it will yellow over time. The grip feels good but smudge magnet for my black phone.

Ringke Thin Fit - Seldom use. Only use to minimize phone size when I wear suit. Doesn't really offer any protection nor do I forsee it will last long.

UAG Plasma - The most protective with thickess lip and corners. Feels good also since the sides are thin (the thick corners should compensate in protection). Its downside is that it will scratch, the hard plastic feels oily/yucky after a while and most of all, despite being the most expensive case of the lot... it's made in China and I feel the molding doesn't reflect the price premium.

Rhinoshield Solidsuit - As said. Besides slippery sides, the sides also squarish and thick so its the widest among my cases.

Patchworks Mono Grip - Its like a more secure more comfortable version of the solid suit. Only minor issue is that the grippiness makes removing the phone out of tight pocket not so smooth.

Keep us updated.

No really interesting phones to change so I'll keep my S9+ for another year and thinking of changing the battery.

Yup. Finally caught up with what Huawei was doing so long time ago. The current night mode pics on the s9 reminded me of the pics i used to get on my p9 night mode..
Yes. So much better now but still behind p30pro. Earlier on when i said it was shit, nobody believed me.

Not sure why it took samsung years to figure this out.

Well... at least there's no risk of not getting updates laugh.gif
